Hi,

I had an Infiniband mhea28-xtc HCA installed on one Linux box. Now
can I simply connect 2 ports with a cable to do some performance
experiments?

Thanks for any suggestion/comments!

Yes, you will need to run the Subnet Manager (SM) on one of the hosts.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I guess I need make it more clearly. I had
a dual port HCA card on one Linux machine. I want to connect these 2
ports (from same HCA) together. Is it doable?

Thanks again.

Yes, loopback connection is possible.
You still need to have SM running on one of the ports.
