The first part of Y2B is a Panel discussion, with several eminent personalities from the industry speaking to the youth about issues such as Youth Leadership, Employability, Entrepreneurship and Global thinking. This will be a great opportunity for the attending youth to gain valuable insights into the Corporate mindset and scenario. Post this we move into a 45 minute audience interaction block, wherein panelists answer questions put forward by the Youth.
After this, we move into Partner Workshops, which are sessions run by our Partners. These can be eye opening sessions about USPs of these different partners, or even sessions where companies look to take inputs from the Youth for further brand building and creation of new Marketing Strategies. This is a very useful forum for the Youth to network with these partners and also learn a lot from them.
Then we move to lunch, where the youth, partners and other companies attending may interact and network informally.
Post this we have a half an hour Business Ideation Session, which is similar to a State of the World, but with a Business Idea as an output. This involves creation of groups with youth as well as corporates. The aim is to generate ideas from the youth, and provide structure from the experience and knowledge of the corporate attendees. Another fantastic chance to be noticed for the youth. We will then have a Concluding Address, and sum up the day until then.
With that done, we move to the second part of the day, which is Career Fair. This involves Corporate companies hiring talent from the gathered Youth Audience. The significance of this forum goes without saying. Each interested youth will have a 5 minute interaction with a representative from a maximum of 3 companies of their choice. If their CVs match the company requirements, and they are able to impress the representatives, internships and/or jobs may be offered.
2. The B-Plan Competition
This is your standard B-Plan competition, wherein youth from around the city (preferably in college teams) showcase a business idea of their own creation. Submissions will be open for 15 days prior to Y2B. All submissions will be screened by our B-Plan Partner, and the winning team will get free slots to Y2B and Career Fair.
Note: This is a promotional strategy for Y2B. The purpose is to generate interest and buzz around Y2B by promoting the B-Plan competition. The BPlan Competition Package with all details are attached with this email.
3. How YOU can be part of this:
-
Promote the upcoming Y2B social media content as much as you can. By this, we mean in a way that will convey how cool this is, and not blindly sharing things. (When you share posts, say something cool about the event and why you think people should take part, it makes a significant difference!)
- Be a Campus Ambassador! The Job Role is attached with this email. Please go through it before you sign up. Sign up link: http://bit.ly/y2b2012CA . Even otherwise, please do promote Y2B, Career Fair and the Business Plan Competition amongst all your friend circles!

- Refer contacts to the BD Team [Important!]
- The BD team is constantly on the look out for new partners to be brought on board. With the above explanation of agenda and the attached proposal, you will be in a sound enough position to gauge what kind of organizations will see value in such a platform. Please ask around with your parents, friend circle, etc. about anyone who may be part of an organization that will want to partner with us for this event. Please do send the concept note to any clients that you may be handling, with your VPs knowledge.
- Venue: If you have contacts in the hospitality sector such as anyone working in hotels around the city, let us know. Alternatively, if you know anyone who may be in-charge of auditoriums, or even high up in college administrations with capacity to accommodate around 800 people, let us know.
- Partner Workshops: For any company that is looking at a youth audience, this is probably the best platform for the same. Any youth brands, or companies with a youth audience would be the best targets for these. Higher education training institutes, or even placement organizations/international universities/institutes would be easy targets for access to such an outreach among the youth.
- Career Fair: Start-ups, SMEs, expanding businesses are prime targets for Career Fair. This Career Fair has the exclusive advantage of having students from across streams. Companies will see value in having access to such a varied pool in one single shot.
- Media! : Radio/TV/News Agencies/Newspapers, etc.
- Please speak to the BD team if you have prominent contacts in any other vertical, we will most probably be able to develop a separate package and engage them with the event.
- If your contact converts to a Partnership worth atleast 20,000 INR, you will be given a subsidy at LCong! This is Project Homerun! For more details, talk to the BD Team!
- V. Important: BE EXCITED!!
