i've added a small infds.pdf [1] document to the repo
which documents the interesting aspects of the ds hardware, port &
it's applications.
Also it describes the current state and future directions of the port.

Moreover to keep the inferno-ds port up and running
i'm looking for people to work both in kernel/devices support (like
wifi networking)
and working on new and interesting uses/applications of the port (like
caerwyn's quong [2])

enjoy!,

Very nice. But the link to the infds.pdf you provided is broken
(because the web interface to svn sucks badly). Maybe it could be
added to the files section of the project/group sites?

Also it would be nice to have more up-to-date .nds files available and
a minimal changelog to know what is going on.

Peace and best wishes

the link works fine here, choosing 'View raw file' does it's job.

well about the .nds files i'd prefer them to be as few as possible,
as the differences between them are rather small, so .nds files are
released when significant changes are done, like: storage working,
wifi working ...

And about the changelog, the svn log works quite well for me:

View raw file? Where?

Oh, wait, apparently one has to click 'show details' first. And even
after that 'View raw file' seems to be badly broken because the
mimetype is wrong and I just get a bunch of garbage in my browser. Can
we just have the file uploaded somewhere in the site somewhere where
people can actually find it and where they can actually open it
properly?

But why? This only reduces proper testing of the most recent code, and
makes people waste time fiddling with outdated builds.

Release early, release often.

Sorry, I missed that.

Ok, because none of this issues have been fixed and I have no access
to upload the .pdf to the files section of the google code project or
the mailing list I have put it on my personal documentation archive
(http://doc.cat-v.org) at:

http://doc.cat-v.org/inferno/ports/inferno_ds

(I might look into generating an html version of the paper to make it
more widely accessible and crawlable later).

Peace
