Dear Carrollton Ward Family Members:

As we approach the end of 2016, we want to thank our Lord for the blessings he has showered up on us this past year.  Also we express our sincere gratitude for the cooperation and unity you have extended to us, the ward officials of Infant Jesus prayer group, during the last two years.

 

As a prayer group we were able to organize regular monthly prayer meetings, continue the Syro-Malabar tradition of caroling, participate cultural programs during our annual Alphonsa Thirunal, make flower arrangements for the Altar, take leadership in ward assigned prayers like stations of the cross during lent, recite the Rosary during the month of October, and have family dedication on the feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus. We were also able to encourage our youth and children to actively participate in all the ward initiated activities and develop a Syro Malabar tradition of faith. Your cooperation in all the activities and praying together lead us to understand each other and build a good fellowship. We were able to do it in a well manner because of your cooperation and your dedication to the Church.

 

As you are aware newly elected ward officials will lead us in the coming two years (2017-2018) and we extend our full cooperation and support in their leadership. Though our current prayer group is bifurcated in to three small prayer groups, we can still continue to cooperate together in all our prayer group and church activities.

 

A special prayer request for the safe return of Rev. Fr. Tom Uzunnalil:

It has been about ten months since Father Tom Uzhunnalil (Salesian priest) from Kerala, India, kidnapped in Yemen.  Fr. Tom Uzunnalil is the brother of Mrs. Rosamma George Chempothikal who belongs to Infant Jesus (Carrollton) prayer group of our parish. Recently there was a video release requesting the Church and government to come to his aid. Please extend your valuable prayers for the safe return of Fr. Tom Uzhunnalil.
