XMAC: Header length

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to understand showcases>>wireless>>sensornetwork>>omnetpp.ini file attached herewith.

Can anyone please help me to understand the following command?

In omnetpp.ini, for XMAC, the header length is given in line 69 as follows

**.wlan[*].mac.headerLength = 24B

Can anyone please tell me what does B stand for here?

In line 30, it is given

**.mac.headerLength = 8b

Can anyone tell me what is the function of the above command?

B means bytes, b means bits

Hello Ievy,

Thank you. So, for X-MAC, what is the header length- 8 bits or 24 bytes? I meant, if I want to set MAC header length, I need to change line 30 or line 69?
