IMPORTANT: The enterprise version of SketchBook, formerly known as Autodesk SketchBook Pro, has been retired. Since the feature list was the same, with the exception of the Curved Ruler (which has been added to version 9.0) and the network installation option, we decided to retire this version.
This readme contains the latest information regarding installation and use of the RETIRED ENTERPRISE version of Autodesk SketchBook Pro. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document. For reference, you should save this readme to your hard drive or print a copy.
For this release, we added a Curve Ruler. Found in the Guides, use it to draw curves and sweeps, not possible with the Ellipse or French Curve tool. Simply tap-drag an end to change its shape or drag the middle to reposition it. Need a larger curve? Scale the ruler. Want to retain a curve, but need to move the ruler to do so? No problem. And, like our other guides, there is no need to draw directly on this ruler. We fixed some bugs, made some general improvements, and made changes regarding the operating systems we support.
Solution 1: In your Autodesk SketchBook Pro file, either save it as a TIFF or create another layer for the background color and save it as a PSD. The background color layer of a SketchBook PSD file is dropped when opened in Photoshop to avoid a conflict with the Photoshop background layer of a native PSD file. TIFF files with a background layer don't have this issue.
Solution 2: Toggle the background layer off before saving your work. This turns off the background completely, resulting in a transparent background. Once the file is opened in Photoshop, you can manually create a new background.
Why: The Standards and Formats language setting is set to French. Many users who use an English OS often set their regional language to another language, so that they can properly view formatted documents in that language.

Since Autodesk SketchBook Pro uses a different installer than the SketchBook subscription version, there is an installation guide to walk you through such things as configuring network licenses and creating newtwork deployment. Click here for the Autodesk SketchBook Pro installation guide.
While uninstalling an app can sometimes fix issues, it often does more harm than good. If you're having trouble with Sketchbook, please we are begging you reach out to us at sup...@sketchbook.com before uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
Android - uninstalling and reinstalling will delete your brush customizations, custom color palettes, your preferences, your Gallery organization, and any unsaved progress on an open canvas. Saved files will not be deleted by an uninstall/reinstall, you will be prompted to recover your Gallery after restarting the app.
iOS - WARNING! Uninstalling and reinstalling the app will delete everything including all your saved artwork. This data will not be recoverable without restoring your device from an earlier backup.
We are unable to update older versions of Autodesk SketchBook on desktop because the licenses are tied to Autodesk. These are still great apps though and you can continue to use them for as long as you like, however they cannot receive updates or bug fixes.
If you received Autodesk SketchBook as a pre-load on your Windows tablet, that version (5.x) was discontinued and cannot be redownload. Be aware that if your tablet is factory reset, the app will be deleted and cannot be reinstalled.

Chromebooks can run the Android version of SketchBook Mobile from the Play Store. Though we recommend using a tablet, due to the Chromebook's a lack of drivers, you won't experience pressure-sensitivity, which is one thing that sets SketchBook apart from other drawing apps.

I love the program and everything about it. I think a good way to just add to the richness of the program would be to allow you to create multiple sketchbooks or multiple pages. With multiple pages you can work on more than one project at a time. Helpful for us with sporadic minds. Having the ability to create multiple sketchbooks would allow for someone to have a little more order to their work by categorizing the big projects we're working on in different locations that save to our profiles. Think Window OneNote.
Just piggy-backing of this: I have given up my physical notebook in favor of SketchBook for Windows 10 for keeping track of engineering designs. As I sketch, and more ideas flow into more ideas, it's a huge blocker to have to save a page into a directory and start a new sketch. I would really like the ability to keep different multi-page sketchbooks so that I can categorize pages of sketches into their appropriate projects, and continue a new page of sketches when I run out of room. The OneNote analogy is a great one.
I want the ability to open multiple files in one instance too. For now, my workaround is to open BOTH Sketchbook Enterprise and Sketchbook app from Windows store and I can work two files somewhat, but it's still clunky. Please add this feature to Enterprise.
I totally agree. This product is an absolutely great tool, but for an product called SketchBOOK you may expect more than one page (otherwise please change the name to Autodesk Sketchpage). It should be like a sketchbook.
A fantastic idea. It's one aspect of traditional sketching I miss - being surrounded by pages of drawings, able to quickly reference them as I work on something new. Print outs aren't always an option. Please find a way to implement it in the digital realm.
Im not a designer. Im just a student that use Sketchbook to write my classnotes. Im not use paper any more. So ... this feature would help very much. Please ... think that with care. The ability to open other notes would be great!!!
Any updates on this? Categorisation and management is really the only aspect stopping sketchbook from solidifying its place as the strongest app of its type. It was the main feature which drew me to Paperby53 when I used to use an iPad - I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd appreciate if it made its way here too!
So true - this is the one thing that kills me about SketchBook. Not being able to quickly switch between a few different sketch file windows or "sheets" seriously hampers productivity. It's called SketchBOOK, right? So why no support for multiple windows or sheets which would be obvious given the name? I know the software is supposed to be fairly lightweight, but I would hope a feature like that would not cripple it given that we live in 2019 (as of this message). The ability to copy layers to other open files/sheets would be a beautiful thing.
I'd like to have it too. I'm using Sketchbook for drawing network topologies and at the same time I'd like to draw different layers of a single one on different pages, so +1 from me for this feature. Pretty, pretty please
Yes! That's the only thing missing in my opinion. To just not being able to directly copy layers between projects or to have the references in different windows is really suboptimal and only makes the work harder to be executed.
I suggest adding another document type called "Notebook" which would be a simplified version of the flipbook. The user interface for that would be so easy to make. I wonder why it has not been implemented yet, even though so many people asked for it.
Another thing which would be great is the ability to open several documents at the same time and have tabs for each files the same way it is done on paint.net or the same way multiple pages are open on Chrome.
