Here's our (probably) final update about Gypsy Moon Ball, which is
this coming Friday through Sunday, November 5 - 7, in Indianapolis,
featuring Perpetual e-Motion and Diane Silver, with the Coffee Zombies
and David Ernst. There will be almost 15 hours of contra, and 3 of
waltz/couple dancing.

If you're not familiar with Perpetual e-Motion or Diane, here are a
few YouTube videos of them together:

So, here's some of the good news, and or things that are very helpful
to know if you are coming or might. Other details are on our web site,
so I'll not repeat everything there! See
http://www.indycontra.org/?page_id=154

1. We have plenty of space! We welcome walk in, for any or all of the event.

2. We are dancing in Indianapolis on Friday night, not Bloomington as
we have in past years. The location, Zion Evangelical United Church of
Christ is downtown in an "arts" district surrounded by restaurants and
theatres, including one that has a major event, so plan on parking to
the east of the church! Adjacent lots will be charging for parking,
but meters are not enforced in the evening, and parking should be
plentiful just a block or two east.

3. We have several bunks (in heated cabins) still available for just
$5/night/person, for those coming on the cheap but not interested in
camping out for free in freezing (but not rainy!) weather.

4. Our website has info about several good hotel options. One
highlight: hotwire.com has a nearby Staybridge Suites for only
$49/night. (Look for the "STE" icon and 3 stars.) TripAdvisor.com and
other sites give this pretty good reviews.

5. Please bring a flashlight, dance shoes, layers of clothes (temps in
the 40's and 50's daytime, 30's at night), contributions to the snack
table, and/or Saturday's pitch in dinner, and/or Sunday's pitch in
brunch. The kitchen has industrial size stove, ovens, fridge, etc.,
but I would bring my own knife (& cooking utensils?), or a crock pot.
If you can't bring stuff, there are Marsh, Kroger, and Aldi's within
about 5 minutes of camp, and Trader Joe's 15 minutes away.

6. Saturday we start the afternoon at 1 with couple's dancing (yes, to
live music), and then advanced contra for experienced dancers 2:00 –
4:15. Other than that session, all other dancing is for everyone.

7. Saturday evening we'll have the regular costume contest, but as
usual it's optional. Wear one if you enjoy that or want to try for a
prize, or wear regular dance clothes.

8. You can find lots of other info on our web site, at
http://www.indycontra.org/?page_id=154

9. Please email indyc...@gmail.com with any questions or concerns,
or if you want to let us know you're coming so we can have a good
count for supplies.

Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible this weekend!
