Hi Indy Contra dance friends,
Registration is now open for Gypsy Moon Ball, in Indianapolis, October
26 – 28, 2012!
This year we feature New England musicians Anadama and caller Rebecca
Lay. (You may have danced to them if you've traveled to Glen Echo,
western Massachusetts, or Youth Dance Weekend).
We also have the Coffee Zombies and Darlene Underwood, with workshops
by fun, exciting dancers like Lauren Peckman! We’ll be at Zion
Evangelical United Church of Christ in downtown Indianapolis, with
plenty of nearby restaurants, free parking, space for jamming and
snacking, and hour after hour of contra dance.
As always, we appreciate registration, but welcome walk in dancers,
don't gender balance, and won't turn anyone away if we have to put
people piggy back on each other in order to squeeze us all onto the
dance floor. (Not that we expect to, but we've got a plan just in
case!)
More info and a registration form are at

or call
(317) 759-4863.
ALSO, we've changed the time of our weekly dance. We're now starting
at 7:45 sharp, and ending by 9:45 sharp, so we can do all cleanup and
be out the door by 9:59. We rely on the church's volunteers to lock
the building, and they really need to go home after a long day, so we
need to leave promptly. We welcome a hand with picking up stuff,
sweeping, and other quick tasks, and welcome all to MacNiven's when
we're done.
