Four weeks from today (Saturday, October 31) we'll be dancing to Gaye
Fifer and Hu$hmoney, Meg Dedlph and Third Fiddle, and a special
appearance by the Cosmic Otters, at Gypsy Moon Ball 2009. This email
has info about that, and also our regular Tuesday night dances at
Earth House, our new location on the east side of Indy's downtown.
First, Gypsy Moon. Here's our intended schedule:
Saturday afternoon - contra with Gaye, Meg, & the Cosmic Otters!
2:00 - 3:30 advanced contra for experienced dancers (all other
sessions are dancing for all)
3:45 - 5:15 contra
5:25 - 5:45 contra medley
6:00 - 8:00 pitch in dinner (Snacks for the rest of the dance are also welcome!)
Saturday evening - contra with Gaye, Meg, Third Fiddle, & Hu$hmoney
8:00 - 10:00 contra with Third Fiddle and caller Meg Dedolph
8:30 parade and costume judging (prizes for funniest, most gypsy-ist, etc.)
10:00 - 1:00 a.m. contra with Hu$hmoney and Gaye Fifer
1:00 - 4:00 a.m. party, showers available for those staying in the cabins
Sunday - waltz & contra with Gaye, Third Fiddle, & Hu$hmoney
9:30 -10:15 waltz workshop with Gaye (basic / intermediate)
10:15 - 11:00 open waltz with Third Fiddle
11:00 brunch (IndyContra & local dancers provide basic items; pitch in
contributions appreciated)
12 - 3 contra
GMB is at Belzer Boy Scout Camp on Indy's northeast side, about 2
hours' drive from Cincinnati, Dayton, Louisville, or Urbana, and only
3 quick turns off the highway.
Registration form and info about housing, directions, local
restaurants (leave home early & leave plenty of time to have lunch
nearby - you don't want to miss one minute of the experienced/advanced
dancing, do you?), etc. are on our site at

Mail your registration form postmarked by Saturday October 17th to pay
just $38 for those 26 and older, $23 for those 25 and under. Walk in
registration is available (cost slightly higher), dancers are welcome
for individual sessions, and scholarships are available for help with
setup, cleanup, and kitchen chores.
Dancers who want to make a weekend of it are invited to Bloomington's
Friday night contra with Gaye calling to Third Fiddle. For location,

Indy contra dancers would also love to see you at one of our regular
Tuesday night dances. We have several new bands playing this fall.
