Position: Safety Officer Qualification Required:Post Graduate in Environment Science / Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety Experience: Minimum 6 - 7 years Reporting to: HR Head Remuneration offered: As per Qualification and Experience Job Description: 1. Position Summary •Assuring Pollution free and safe working environment. •Co-ordination with various departments to control and monitor environment and safety issues. 2.Principal Account abilities •To establish best contemporary safety, Hygiene and Environmental practices in the organization. •Train and improve awareness among employees on Safety, Hygiene and Environment. •Prepare Environmental development program and submit to the management. •Conduct periodical Safety, Hygiene and Environmental audits, Identify improvement areas, follow up and expedite action plan. •Train employees to handle emergencies, conduct periodical mock drill. •Prepare EFMEA/SFMEA/ECP/SCP, update CA & PA. co-ordinate with other departments for implementation of the same. •Incident Investigation and developing preventive action. •To co-ordinate with and lead the emergency response team in case of emergency. •Plan and overview the gardening activities to create greener and cleaner environment. •To check and evaluate the effectiveness of various action initiated for Safety, Hygiene and Improved environment including functioning of STP & ETP. •Maintain proper documentation of activities and send periodical MIS to the management. •Follow up on Legal compliances with all concerned on Safety, Hygiene and Environment. •Liaison with Factory Inspector for issues related to Safety, Hygiene and Environment. •To advise the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective pollution control and control of personal injuries •To advise on environment and safety aspects in all job studies. •To check the evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent environment pollution and personal injuries. •To provide advice on matters related to system development i.e. ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 IMS. •To investigate selected accidents. •Fire training to employees.
