POSOTION TITLE: Safety Officer

REPORTS TO:  Company Representative, Supervising Engineer

 

SUMMARY:

1.      Health, Safety & Environment Office should be well aware of the requirements of the Company’s Fire & Safety Regulations

CONTACTS:

1.      Supervising Engineer

2.      Company Site Representatives

3.      User

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.      Be aware of the latest Fire & Safety Regulations and all relevant KOC – HSEMS procedures.

2.      Liaise with Supervising Engineer for scheduling and execution of the works.

3.      Shall ensure that site works are complying with Company safety standards.

4.      Shall be responsible for inspection of all works specified in different appendices.

5.      Be capable of group communication, co-ordination with all concerned people and prepare safety reports.

6.      Liaise with supervising engineer to ensure satisfactory handling the works.

7.      Evaluate and recommend control measures to prevent accidents.

8.      Capable to implement the Environment guidelines and regulations for operation purposes.

9.      Shall ensure that the Tool Box meetings are conducted by the work site supervisor and prepare JSA, Work Permit, Daily Inspection Report, Near Miss Report and Incident Report and provide HSE training to workmen and foreman etc..

JOB KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:

1.      Shall have a relevant Degree/Diploma as per HSE Guide Lines for the Contractors.

2.      Shall have attend one or more HSE course in any category of training in General Industrial Safety, Construction Safety etc..

3.      Shall be subject to interview/trade test by Company’s Fire & Safety Dept. and Asset HSE Team

4.      Shall have at least 7 years experience in the relevant field.

5.      Experience in gas leakage treatment works preferably.

6.      Must have knowledge of GI System.
