Capacity Paper Mill with CPPThe Tribeni unit of ITC Ltd. (PSPD-TRIBENI) plans to raise its capacity by installing 27,500 TPA capacity new Paper Mill and to set up a Coal-based 12 MW Captive power plant, in Hooghly District, West Bengal.
The Tribeni unit of ITC Ltd. specialises in Fine papers, Tissues, Decor Papers and other Specialty Papers.
Capacity : 27,500 TPA
(Existing : 3 Nos Paper Machines: 7000 TPA, 19500 TPA & 7000 TPA
Total Capacity : 33,500 TPA )
Captive Power Plant : 12 MW(CFBC)
(Multi-Fuel-Fired Boiler Based Captive Power Plant)
(Existing : 9.9 MW )
Location : Village Chandrahati, District Hooghly,
Unit Tribeni, West Bengal
As 0n March 30, 2012 : The project is in planning stage.
Paper Plant:
Total land required for the proposed expansion of paper plant will be
1.78 acres within the existing works boundary.
Power Plant:
In the existing works boundary of total land area 26.31 acres including adjacent acquired area of 1.08 acres free from any encumbrances will be used for proposed Captive Power Plant.
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had last with ITC Ltd.
(Unit: Triveni Tissue) on 16. 03.2012, the project is in planning stage.
The company is waiting for the Environment Clearance and “NOC” from State Pollution Control Authority.
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed by
by December, 2013.

will be provided to Captive Power Plant.
Paper Plant:
There will be no air borne emissions from the proposed paper plant.
Captive Power Plant:
Adequate control measures like installation of bag filters,
Electrostatic precipitator (ESP), Dust suppression system
and stack of adequate height at relevant point will be installed.

The estimated generation of effluent:
from the proposed CPP will be around : 250-300 KLD.
from the new Paper machine will be : 3500 KLD.
