  RSL Distilleries  Plans To Set Up 

    120 KLPD Distillery With CPP

(Update : Ref  Our Earlier Report of 07.09.2011)

              

RSL Distilleries Private Limited  plans to set up  a 
120 KLPD Grain based Distillery along with a  3.5 MW Cogeneration Power Plant at Karnal District, Haryana. 

 

 

The plant will produce Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) and Technical Alcohol (TA).

 

Capacity :

Distillery                   : 120 KLPD

Captive Power Plant : 3.5 MW

 

 

Location :  Village Chandrao, Tehsil Indri

                  Karnal District, Haryana

                    

As 0n  January 04, 2012 : The Project is  under Planning Stage.

 

The unit would come up on about 22.5 Acres of Land .

 

Out of 22.5 Acres of Land , 7.0 Acres will be developed as Green Belt.

 

IMPORTANT:  Please refer our earlier Report of 07.09.2011.

And as per the discussion we had last on 21.12.2011 with

RSL Distilleries Private Limited  the Project is under Panning Stage now.

The Land has been acquired.

The company has now obtained all the Environmental  Clarence.

 

The Civil work is likely to start from  April,2012.

 

The Project   is Scheduled to be  Completed in 12 to 15 months from the date of commencement of the Civil work, ie, latest by June, 2013 .

The Main Scope of Supply includes:

Raw Material :

Grain (298 TPD) including Broken Rice, Jawar, Maize etc. will be used as raw materials.

 

Raw material will be procured from Haryana, Punjab, U.P., Rajasthan etc.

Process :

 

Grain milling, Liquefaction, Saccharification, Fermentation, Distillation and storage of extra neutral alcohol (ENA) and technical alcohol (TA, impure spirit).

Air Pollution Control Equipment :

Multi Cyclone / Bag Filter

 

Multi-cyclones and Bag filters alongwith stack (50 m) will be provided to control emissions from boiler. SPM will be controlled within 100 mg/Nm3.

The ash will be collected in hoppers underneath boiler bank/air pre-heater and dust collection system. 

 

Flue gases after super heating the steam will pass through Economizer where they will  Pre-Heat the boiler Feed water before it enters the boiler drum. After Economizer, flue will pass through Air Pre-Heaters where they will heat the air which will be  fed to the boiler furnace for burning the fuel.

 

After Air Pre Heaters flue gases will pass through

Multi Cyclone / Bag Filter where the Dust Particles will be  collected on charged electrodes. After passing through ESP, clean flue gases with dust particle concentration also known as SPM level less than 100 mg/Nm3 through a Chimney of prescribed height.

The dust will be  collected from the bottom of the ESP.

 

High pressure superheated steam from boiler will pass through a Steam Turbine and at the lower pressure will go to the condenser.

The part of the steam will be extracted from the extraction points provided on the turbine, which will be used for distillery.

 

The condensed steam will return to the steam boiler as condensate and will again be boiled as steam.

 

While passing through the turbine, the high pressure and temperature steam will rotate the turbine rotor and an Electric Alternator mounted on the same shaft.

 

Electric power will be generated by the alternator. This electric power generated will be consumed in house i.e. for running the distillery and utilities like boilers auxiliaries etc.

D.G. set : 2x1250 KVA  will be installed for stand by arrangement..

Fuel : HSD will be used as fuel in D.G. Sets.

Emissions from D.G. sets will be vented through a Stack.

Silencer (Acoustic enclosures) to be provided to D.G.

 

Cooling Tower

Water requirement  will be 1380 m3/day.

It will be sourced  from bore wells.

 

Effluent Treatment Plant

 

(120=11.5 Kl/kl) liquid effluent will be generated from

 

Process and Fermenter

Boiler Blow Down
Bottle Washing

Cooling Tower Blow Down

DM Water Flushing

Sanitary etc.

 

Total spent wash generation will be 1172 MT.

The tick slop (180 TPD) will be subjected to decantation for removal of wet cake. Part of the thin slop (992 MTPD) will be recycled back to process followed by evaporation, production of thick syrup and using it as cattle feed.

 

The process condensate generated (534 MTPD) will be cooled and after neutralization and polishing will be recycled to the process.

 

The bottle washing water (40 m3/day) will be recycled. Sewage water will be treated in septic tank followed by soak pit and used for horticulture and green belt. No effluent will be discharged outside the premises into any surface water body and Zero discharge will be adopted.

 

Wet cake and tick syrup (291 TPD) will be sold as cattle feed (=113 TPD DDGS). ETP sludge, yeast sludge and DWGS cake (406 TPD) will be generated.

Boiler ash (42.6 TPD from 100% rice husk or 69.2 TPD from 100% coal) will be disposed.

 

Waste oil and used batteries will be sold to authorized recyclers / re-processors.

Fire Fighting System shall be as per the TAC Norms and cover all areas where  alcohol is produced, handled and stored.

 

Provision of Foam System for Fire Fighting to control fire from the alcohol storage tank.

 

Green Belt Development plan in 33 % area (Approx. 7  Acres) and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.
