Expansion of its Distillery
Sangamner Bhag SSK Limited plans to expand its Molasses based Distillery from 40 KLD to 80 KLD by adding another Molasses/Grain based Distillery Unit of 40 KLD at Amrutnagar, Post: Sangamner, District Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
The Unit will produce Rectified Spirit.
Capacity Expansion :
Distillery : 40 KLD to 80 KLD
Molasses based distillery will operate for 270 days and grain based distillery for 365 days.
Location : Amrutnagar, Post Sangamner
District :Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
As 0n August 16, 2012 : The Project is under Planning Stage.
The distillery unit will come up within the Existing Sugar Factory Complex. Total project area including sugar plant is 200 Acres.
Green belt will be developed in 33 % area.
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had on 08.08.2012 with Sangamner Bhag S.S.K. Limited the Project is under Panning Stage now.
The company is waiting for the environmental clearance.
The project work is likely to start within Three Months. ie,
from October/November, 2012.
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed
by October, 2013 .

The Main Scope of Supply includes:
Boiler :
Bagasse and Methane fired boiler will be used and waste gas will be discharged through stack (60 m).
Existing boiler is provided with Cyclone/Wet scrubber.
Bag filter will be provided to Proposed New boiler.
Heat Exchanger, Air Pre- Heater/ Economiser.
Fermentation plant
Distillation plant
Evaporation plant
Molasses storage tanks
Alcohol storage tanks
Spent wash storage tanks

Raw Materials:
Grain (135 TPD), Molasses (170 TPD), Acid (0.04 TPD), Calcium Hydroxide (0.03 TPD), cultures/nutrients/enzymes(0.05 TPD) and
Turkey red oil (0.13 TPD) will be used as raw materials for this expansion.

Bag Filter
To control the particulate emissions from the
Baggase and Methane Fired boiler will be controlled by Bag Filter/ high efficiency wet scrubber and emissions will be dispersed through Stack of 60 Meter.
Flue gases after super heating the steam will pass through Economizer where they will Pre-Heat the boiler Feed water before it enters the boiler drum. After Economizer, flue will pass through Air Pre-Heaters where they will heat the air which will be fed to the boiler furnace for burning the fuel.
The condensed steam will return to the steam boiler as condensate and will again be boiled as steam.
DG set : Additional DG sets may be installed for emergency power Back-up during power failure

Effluent Treatment Plant
Total water requirement from Pravara River will be
0.7 MLD (for Molasses based) and 0.801 MLD (for Grain based).
Water Treatment Plant
Effluent generation will be 0.498 MLD (Molasses based) and 0.447 MLD (grain based).
Sober and high BOD effluent (356 m3/day) will be treated through bio-digester followed by MEE and composting for Molasses based distillery..
Moderate effluent will be treated in ETP based on primary, secondary and teriatry treatment facility followed by seed farm.
For grain based, high BOD effluent (300 m3/day) will be treated through MEE drying followed by DDGS.
Sober and moderate Wastewater (139 m3/day) will be treated in ETP.
Effluent storage lagoon with HDPE lining for 5 days capacity will be constructed.
Other Equipments:
Material Handling Equipment : Conveyor, Hydraulic Equipment/Cranes,
DG Set, Air Compressor. DC/VFD Drive, Gear Box, Insulation, Valves, Pipes & Tubes, Cables, Automatic Weighing Machines for Bulk & Liquid Materials. Straight Line Steam Tunnel, Pneumatic Piston Filler, Pressure Filler,Storage Tank, Cooling Tower/ Plant, Air Conditioning Plant, Complete Laboratory Equipments etc
Fire Fighting System shall be as per the TAC Norms and cover all areas where alcohol is produced, handled and stored.
Provision of Foam System for Fire Fighting to control fire from the alcohol storage tank.
Green Belt Development plan in 33 % area
and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.
