Kohinoor Pulp & Paper  Setting Up 

2 Lakh TPA Unit With 10 MW CPP

Kohinoor Pulp & Paper Pvt. Ltd. is setting up
2,00,000 TPA Writing and Printing Paper  Manufacturing unit
along with a 10 MW Captive Power Plant in  Industrial Growth Centre
at Matia in Goalpara District, Assam.

Natural Fiber/Wood based Pulp Plant :

250 TPD

Paper Plant for Writing,Printing and Copier Paper:

250 TPD

The project is in planning stage, the project work is likely to start from July/August ,2011.

*****************************

                 

As 0n  October 18, 2011 The Civil Work has commenced.

 

The unit would come up on about 200  Acres of Land .

Out of this 66 Acres will be developed as Green Belt.

 

IMPORTANT:  As per the discussion we had last with

Kohinoor Pulp & Paper Private Limited on 14. 10.2011,

 the Civil work has commenced.

 

The company is now floating the ENQURIES  for various plant & Machineris and will finalise the orders soon.

 

Till  date,  the company has finalized the orders for Recovery Boiler (100 TPH) and Pulp Mill.

 

Power Boiler/Paper Machineries/ Material Handling/ Water Treatment Plants other equipments are yet to be finalized.

 

The Project   is Scheduled to be  Completed

by December, 2012.

The Main Scope of Supply includes: 

Recovery Boiler  :  *100 TPH ( Coal Fired)

(*Previously it was 60 TPH, but now revised to  100TPH)

Power Boiler       : **100 TPH ( Coal Fired)

(**Previously it was 2X30 TPH, but now revised to  100TPH)

 

Heat Exchanger, Air Preheater

Pullution Control Equipment:

Electrostatic precipitators, Bag Filters

The emissions from boilers will be  routed through ESP to control the Particulate matter to 50 mg/Nm3 and clean emissions are let out into the atmosphere through adequet stack height. 

 Acoustic enclosures to be provided around Generator/Turbine to control noise levels.  

Adequate Dust Collection and Extraction System to be provided  to control fugitive dust emissions at various transfer points.

The total water requirement will be 18,480 m3/day .

 

Water from river Brahmaputra / Bore well will be used for meeting variousindustrial demands of the unit.

 

Pulp mill demand       :  14,780 m3/day

Paper plant demand   :  2,500 m3/day

Boiler demand            :  720 m3/day

Domestic Demand      : 480 m3/day

RAW WATER TREATMENT

Borewell / River is the main source of water for the mill.

Quality of the feed water to process, drinking purpose and feed to boiler will be maintained by treatment depending on quality. 

 

From Borewell the water is stored in large tanks and supplied to Mill.

 

From the river, raw water will go  to a Clarifier where some chemicals and

flocculants like Alum and Flocculation chemicals (Polymers) etc. are

added. Chlorine is also added in water to purify it.

After this brief treatment, water goes to the process and drinking purpose. For steam generation, process water will be again treated in a DM Plant.

 

DM PLANT : CATION --> DEGASSER--> ANION-->MIXED BED

 

Effluent  Treatment Plant:    

 

The liquid effluent generated in this plant after installation / erection will

be from Boiler Cooling Tower, Clarifier and RO / DM plant blow downs.

 

The total liquid effluent generation will be to the tune of around 521 m3/hr.

 

All these effluents will be first neutralized in a neutralizing pit and then allowed to go to the Effluent Treatment Plant.

 

The fibers collected in this process will be utilized as raw material for grey board making unit in the proposed plant.

 

Proposed Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) will be  designed to treateffluent of the Pulp & Paper Mill at the rate of

1150 m3/hr.

 

Treated  effluent meeting relevant effluent discharge standards will be let out into

river Brahmaputra.

 

Waste water generated from office areas will be discharged in to the septic tank soak pit system.

 

Air Conditioning System

The air-conditioning system is to be designed to maintain the

following conditions in the spaces serviced:

25+2oC dry bulb temperature and 55+5 percent relative humidity for

control rooms, control pulpits, computer rooms, PLC rooms, laboratory

etc.

To meet the above requirement, air handling units using chilled water, package type air conditioning unit complete with compressor, condenserand ductwork are envisaged.

 

AC units/AHUs shall be installed in separate rooms adjacent to various conditioned spaces served. Conditioned air from AC units to the spaces served shall be provided by plenum/ductwork.

 

Wall mounted window model air conditioners have also been envisaged in some areas for the purpose of air conditioning

 

Conveyors: All the conveyor belts shall be covered with G.I. Sheets.

Water spray system shall be provided all around the stockpiles and dust suppression system around the conveyor system. 

 

Chemical Preparation Plant

The mill requires a ClO2 generation plant. This plant also includes a

process water chiller for efficient absorption of ClO2 gas into a solution for

use in the bleach plant.

 

RAW MATERIALS & CHEMICALS

Pulp Making

This project is primarily based on Bamboo as the main raw material.

 

CHEMICALS

Chlorine Di-oxide

Average consumption on the O.D. bleached pulp - 1.8 %

Quantity of Chlorine Di-oxide - 1500 TPA

 

Caustic Soda

Average consumption on the O.D. bleached pulp - 2.08 %

Quantity of Caustic Soda - 1800 TPA

Oxygen

Oxygen consumption is estimated for extraction stage in bleaching process and ODL stage.

The main purpose of oxygen is to catalyze the extraction

process during the bleaching process.

Bleaching stage

Average consumption on the O.D. bleached pulp - 2.5 %

Quantity of Oxygen - 2156 TPA

ODL stage

Average consumption on the O.D. bleached pulp - 2.8 %

Quantity of Oxygen - 2217 TPA

Hydrogen Peroxide

Average consumption on the O.D. bleached pulp - 0.5 %

Quantity of H2O2 - 450 TPA

Sodium Sulphate

Quantity of Sodium Sulphate - 5400 TPA

 

Lime

Lime is required in causticizing of chemical recovery section. It converts

sodium carbonate into sodium hydroxide. Quantity is estimated as per

standard consumption norms (with 60% available CaO).

1.25 Tonne / tonne of recovered caustic soda in - 42514 TPA

 

Fire protection facilities

In order to combat any occurrence of fire in plant premises the following

fire protection facilities have been envisaged for the various units of the

plant.

Portable fire extinguishers

All plant units will be provided with adequate number of portable fire

extinguishers to be used as first aid fire appliances. The distribution and

election of extinguishers will be done in accordance with the requirement

of IS: 2190-91.

Hydrant system

A fire hydrant network system has been envisaged for the proposed mill.

Internal hydrants will be provided at suitable locations and different

hydrants will be provided normally along the road and in the close vicinity

of the units to meet the additional requirement of water for extinguishing

fire.

Automatic system

For oil cellars control rooms and computer rooms, automatic fire

extinguishing system has been envisaged.

 

Supply Of Other Equipments:

Material Handling Equipment : Conveying Systems, Hydraulic Equipments, Screen

 Acid Pumps, Motors, Heat Exchangers, Agitators and Mixers ,Valves, Dryers, Vessels, Custom Pipelines, Storage Tank . Fire Fighting Equipment etc.

Complete Laboratory Equipments

Fire fighting System as per TAC norms. 

Green Belt Development Plan and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.

Green belt will be developed in 66 Acres of total plant area of 200 Acres.

 

The company must harvest the rainwater from the rooftops and storm water drains to recharge the ground water.
