Divis Laboratories Limited  plans to set up its  New Unit- Unit-IV 
 to produce Bulk Drug & its Intermediates  having Capacity of 
 15044.5 TPA at Ontimamidi (Kona) Village, Thondangi Mandal in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh.

Project Cost  : Rs. 390 Crores

The company also plans  to set up  its  Another New Unit Unit-III 

at Kongavanipalem Village , Bhogapuram Mandal in Vijayanagaram District, Andhra Pradesh. 

Project Cost  : Rs. 300 Crores Capacity  : 13768.50 TPA

This manufacturing facility is proposed to be developed in an area of 60.7 Ha (150 acre)  with multipurpose production blocks.

  This project is presently in planning stage. As of January 2015, The company is waiting for environmental clearance.

Divis Laboratories Ltd. established its First manufacturing facility in 1995

Built on a 500 acre site at Hyderabad (Unit-I). The plant comprises of 13 Multi-purpose production blocks and has space for further growth and expansion. 


Divis Laboratories Ltd. set up its Second manufacturing facility at Visakhapatnam (Unit-II) in the year 2002 on a 350 acre site. The site has 14 Multipurpose production blocks. ]

Air Polution Control:

There will be one no of flue gas stack and one process gas stack which

are the main emission source from the plant for Boiler.

Proper Stack height and air pollution control measures  will be provided in order to achieve norms prescribed by statutory authority. 

For Boiler Multi Cone Cyclone &  Bag filter  will be provided. 

Process Emission:

Scrubber : Gases emission will be scrubbed   in Two Stages with Water and Caustic solution, based on the characteristics of the gases. 

Solvent Management for Effective Recovery: 

Reactor will be connected to Chilled Brine Condenser System

Solvent Storage will be provided with breather valves to avoid losses

premises of the proposed project, a power grid of 15000 KW Sub Station is proposed for
the project and for emergency DG sets will  also be  installed.

Effluent Treatment Plant:

Sewerage system will be  designed in proposed project according to the elevation and contour

profile. Sewage water generated form common facilities will be  transferred through a pipe

line system and diverted to STP Sewage Treatment Plant. 

The treated water will use for the green belt and flushing purposes.


The effluent generated  is mainly from process, washings, scrubbers, cooling towers & boiler blow downs and domestic effluent


Solid and Hazardous Waste:

Process Residue                       : 3102.87 kg/day

ETP Sludge                              : 200 kg/day

Multiple effect evaporation         :  691 kg/day

or forced evaporation

Incineration ash                        :  75 kg/day


Liquid Waste:
Process waste water (HTDS)      2175 KLD
Boiler Blow down/cooling          :  1058 KLD

or forced evaporation

Domestic waste water              :  1160 KLD

 The treated wastewater will be reused for flushing and green belt  development.

 The treatment scheme shall be designed to treat the wastewater and reuse  the treated water for Gardening and flushing. 

The industrial effluent is proposed to be treated in the proposed ETP with Zero Liquid  Disposal (ZLD) System.

The process effluent (High Pollution Stream) will be taken to neutralization tank and  treated with suitable chemicals to bring down pH to neutral condition. Then, the effluent  will be fed to solvent stripper followed by Multiple-Effect Evaporator (MEE) and ATFD.

The solvent will be stripped initially and collected in a receiver, then the remaining effluent is further concentrated from 4% to 40% in MEE, and further concentrated into  salts with 6-8% moisture in ATFD. 

The MEE condensate will be routed through proposed  biological effluents treatment plant to further treat any residual COD. The low polluting  stream wastewater will be mixed with condensate of High polluting stream and treated in the biological treatment system.

The treated water will be used for Cooling Tower, Flushing and Gardening.
