      Apurva Laminate Plans For

      RESIN Manufacturing Plant   

 

Apurva Laminate Pvt. Ltd. plans for Expansion of  its Laminate sheet Manufacturing Unit by setting up  a New  Phenol formaldehyde Resin Manufacturing Unit   having capacity of  200 Tons/ Month and another New Melamine Formaldehyde Resin Manufacturing Unit   having capacity of  100 Tons/ Month  at Nava Sadukla, Taluka Morbi, Rajkot District, Gujarat..

 

Capacity :

The company is presently manufacturing Laminated Sheets  450000 Nos/ Month or 1800 Tons/month. 

 

To manufacture laminated sheet, resin is required.

So, the company now plans to go for its OWN RESIN MANUFACTURING UNIT in its existing unit. 

So, the unit will now manufacture:

1. Phenol formaldehyde : 200 Tons /Day

2. Melamine Formaldehyde Resin : 100 Tons/Day

Village : Nava Sadukla,Taluka : Morbi

Rajkot District, Gujarat

 

As 0n  March 15, 2012 : The Project is  under Planning Stage.

 

The expansion project would come up on its existing land of present unit.

However 1/3 of Land will be developed as Green Belt.

 

IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had last with

Apurva Laminate Pvt. Ltd.    on 12. 03. 2012,   the project is under planning stage.

 

 The company is now waiting for Clearance from  State Pollution Control Authorities.

 

The project work has not yet started.

 

The Project  is Scheduled to be  Completed in

Mid of 2013.

The Main Scope of Supply includes:

Boiler: 4 TPH1 No. (Coal fired)                

Fuel : Coal: 200 Ton/ Day

Thermic Fluid Heater – 1 No.

 

Heat Exchanger, Air Preheater

Pullution Control Equipment:

Bag Filter, Scrubber

The unit will install Bag Filter to control particulate matter emissions.

The vent of adequate height (30 m) will be installed to disperse the

emissions to reduce ground level concentrations to satisfactory levels.

 

Fugitive emissions :

Fugitive emissions of Phenol and Formaldehyde may result from the

Storage Tanks

Distillation Reactor

Condenser

Vacuum line

Sample ports, and 

Vents of the processes.

 

To control fugitive emissions following steps will be implemented in the

proposed unit :

Breather Valves and Nitrogen Blanketing systems will be

provided for all the storage tanks to minimize vapor losses.

 

Closed Handling System for chemicals will be provided.

To control gaseous emission from the Rector and Condenser,

Wet Scrubber will be installed.

 

Pulse Jet Bag Filter:

The bag filter will be made of a metallic housing designed for continuous

operation and automatic cleaning.The dirty gas enters through the collector in the bottom part of the body, being sent to the baffle, where the heavier particle is separated and the lighter material is carried away along with the gas pass

through the filtering bags wherein all the particulates are collected.

 

Cooling Tower

DG Set : A DG set  of   will be installed to meet the power   

                    requirement    for  Emergency ( ie. During  Power Failure)

         

Storage Tank

1.  For Formaldehyde

2.  For Phenol            

2.  For Methanol        

 

Compressors

Agitators

Distillation Reactor

 

Raw Materials required (per month)

Phenol , Melamine, Formaldehyde, Methanol, BOPP Film. Caustic Soda                  

 

Water Treatment Plant :

Pumps, Valves, Custom Pipeline Work, Plumbing Work

(Oxidisation Chamber, , IRF, Activated Carbon Filter,

R.O. Plant, DM Plant etc. )

 

The total water requirement will be met from the ground water source.

 

Total ground water requirement will be 26 m3/day.                       

 

Effluent  Treatment Plant:

The unit will install Phenol Removal Systems and

 Effluent Treatment Plant.

 

Phenol Removal Systems:

I. Phenol Formaldehyde Resin :

There will be no use of water in the manufacturing process of phenol

formaldehyde resin. Phenol of concentration 93 % and formaldehyde

36 % will be used to manufacture P-F resin. In formaldehyde 36 % will

be formaldehyde and remaining 64 % will be water. During reaction

there is formation of water which will contain mainly Phenol andformaldehyde in traces.

 

II. Melamine Formaldehyde Resin :

There will be no water use in the manufacturing process of melamine

formaldehyde resin. However during there is formation of water with

very less quantity. This water remains in the resin and not separated.

Hence, there will be no wastewater generation from melamine

formaldehyde resin manufacturing process.

 

Effluent Treatment Plant

Waste Water will be generated from Domestic, Process & Washing Water Consumption:

 

Process wastewater generation will be increased from 0.9 m3/day to 1.9 m3/day.

The Effluent Treatment scheme will comprise of 

Stage – 1    -Primary Treatment

Stage – 2  -  Secondary Treatment

Stage – 3  - Tertiary Treatment

 

Treated effluent will be discharged in the industrial premises for landscaping.

Acid Pumps, Motors, Heat Exchangers, Agitators and Mixers ,Valves, Dryers, Vessels, Cables, Rollers, Custom Pipelines, Storage Tank .
