Chamundi Distilleries Setting Up
220 KLPD Distillery Unit
Chamundi Distilleries Private Limited is setting up a Molasses Based Distillery having capacity of 220 KLPD in Mysore District, Karnataka. It will produce Rectified Spirit and Extra Neutral Alcohol ( ENA).
Capacity :
Distillery : 220 KLPD
(Expansion from 27 KLPD)
Location : Maliyur village, T. Nasirpur Taluk,
Mysore District, Karnataka
As 0n March 02, 2011 : The Company has just completed the expansion of their distillery from 27 KLPD to 55 KLPD. The same will be enhanced to 220 KLPD and the expansion will be coming up in phases.
The company possesses a total 250 Acres land out of which 111 Acres
is utilized for establishment of distillery and its infrastructure facilities. Balance of 139 Acres is meant for treated effluent utilization and Greenery development.
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had last with
Chamundi Distilleries Private Limited on 01.03.2011, the company has just completed the Expansion Of 27 KLPD to 55 KLPD.
The company will now go by phases for rest of the expansion @ 55 KLPD in each phases ie. from 55 KLPD to 110 KLPD and so on.
As on date the next expansion is in planning stage.
The project work is expected to start within 2-3 months.

The Main Scope of Supply includes:

Boiler: 25 TPH – 2 Nos
Fuel : Bio-mass (Rice husk/ Wood chips)
and spent wash concentrate
Heat Exchangers, Air Pre-heater/Economiser)
Air Pollution Control Equipment :
Multi Cyclone Dust Separator/Wet Scrubber
Chimney (Height ; 64 Meters)
To control the particulate emissions from the Rice Husk and Wood Chips Fired
2 Nos 25 TPH Boilers will be controlled by Multi Cyclone Dust Separator/Wet Scrubber and emissions will be dispersed through a Chimney of 64 Meters Height.
Water Treatment Plant
Oxidisation Chamber, Filter, ACF, Tube Settler, R.O./ Mixed Bed etc.
Pumps Valves, Custom Pipeline Work
The requirement of fresh water to the industry will be 1652 KLD.
The water requirement will be met from Kaveri river.
During scarcity in the river, water will be obtained from bore well source.
The concentrated spent wash will be composted with press mud and permeate from the RO Plant will be recycled
Effluent Treatment System
Total Effluent Treatment System and Scheme will be installed for achieving zero discharge.

DG Set: 2 Nos.
Power requirement will be met from the Captive generation i.e 2 X1.2 MW Power Generation. Moreover , it is proposed to install
380 KVA - 2 Nos DG set as standby during power failure.
Cooling Tower
Other Equipments:
Material Handling Equipment : Conveyor, Hydraulic Equipment/Cranes,
DG Set, Air Compressor. DC/VFD Drive, Gear Box, Insulation, Valves, Pipes & Tubes, Cables, Automatic Weighing Machines for Bulk & Liquid Materials. Straight Line Steam Tunnel, Pneumatic Piston Filler, Pressure Filler,Storage Tank, Cooling Tower/ Plant, Air Conditioning Plant, Complete Laboratory Equipments etc
Fire Fighting System shall be as per the TAC Norms and cover all areas where alcohol is produced, handled and stored.
Provision of Foam System for Fire Fighting to control fire from the alcohol storage tank.
Green Belt Development plan in 33 % area and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.
