Sanwaria Agro Oils Expands Capacity to Process New Soybean, Palm Oil Products

Sanwaria Agro Oils plans to invest Rs 125 crore for producing value-added products such as soya flour (200 tonnes a day), soya nuggets (100 tonnes a day) and vanaspati (50 tonnes a day). It will also set up a 150 tonnes a day palm oil refining unit, besides expanding its solvent extraction and refining capacity by 500 tonnes a day to 3,750 tpd.

Project plans Sanwaria Agro proposes to raise Rs 100 crore through issue of fresh shares to strategic investors while Rs 25 crore will come in from internal accruals. The capacity additions will come up at its existing plant at Itarsi and Mandideep in Madhya Pradesh.

 
The company is also in talks with Reliance and Pantaloon for tapping their retail outlets to sell its branded products. Post tie-up with the retail majors' contribution of branded products to the total revenue may go up by Rs 200 crore to Rs 500 crore.

Sanwaria Agro is part of 12-member consortium of Solvent Extractors' Association that has plans to acquire 50,000 hectares in Paraguay and Uruguay to grow soyabean.

The total investment in the overseas venture would add up to Rs 100-200 crore .
