Gobind Sugar Plans To Set Up
60 KLPD Distillery with Co-Gen Power
Gobind Sugar Mills Limited plans to set up a 60 KLPD Molasses based Distillery along with a 2.2 MW Co-Generation Power Plant within the premise of its existing sugar belt (due to availability of Molasses from own sugar Mill) at Village Khamaria-Pandit in Lakhimpur Kheri District, Uttar Pradesh.

Co-Generation Power Plant : 2.2 MW
Project Cost : Rs.107.38 Crores
Location : Village Khamaria-Pandit
Lakhimpur Kheri District, Uttar Pradesh
As on July 28, 2015 : The Project is under Planning Stage.
The unit would come up in the same premises of its existing
Sugar Mill belt .
Out of this total area about 33% of the area will be developed as Green Belt.
IMPORTANT: As per the the discussion we had
on 24.07.2015 with Gobind Sugar Mills Limited
the Project is under Panning Stage.
The company is now waiting for Environmental clearances in place .
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed in
12-15 Months from the date of commencement of the project work.

The Main Scope of Supply includes:
Boiler : 20 TPH
Fuel : Waste Water (Spent Wash) shall be used in Boiler as a fuel.
(Ash will be used as manure)
Boiler with 20 TPH capacity is proposed to be installed.

Molasses : 270 Ton/Day
- Sulphuric Acid : 90 Kg/day
- Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic) : 600 Kg/day
NH2-CO- NH2 (Urea;46 % N2) : 145 Kg/day
Air Pollution Control Equipment :
Electrostatic Precipitators/ Bag Filter
To control the particulate emissions from boiler be dispersed through Stack Height of 45 Meters.
Steam generated from the boiler will be utilized in the generation of
2.2 MW Power and will also be used for Boiler feed water heating and Distillery.
Power Requirement and Source:
The total estimated consumed load for the Project is estimated to be 1.8 MW.
The company’s proposal is to install 2.2 MW Co – Generation Power Plant.

Cooled Condenser :
Use of Air Cooled Condenser to be used to reduce water consumption.
DG set :
One Additional DG set is proposed for emergency power Back-up during power failure.
Water Treatment Plant
Oxidisation Chamber, Pressure Sand Filter / IRF, R.O. Plant,
Tube Settler
Pumps Valves, Custom Pipeline Work.
Total water requirement for the above project will be
740 m3/day will be sourced from Ground water through Tube well.

Effluent Treatment Plant :
Spent wash : 600 KLPD (@ 10 KL/ KL of Product)
Other Effluent (Evaporator Condensate, Spent Leese, Blow downs
and Floor washing ) – 1000 KLPD
Domestic – 7 KLPD
Scheme for Effluent Management/Disposal:
MEE + Incineration (Slop fired Boiler)for Spent wash
For Other effluent (Condensate, Leese , Floor washing , Blow downs) secondary treatment plant shall be installed to achieve the ZERO DISCHARGE.
Domestic waste will be treated in septic tank and soak pit.

Straight Line Steam Tunnel, Pneumatic Piston Filler, Pressure Filler,Storage Tank, Cooling Tower/ Plant, Air Conditioning Plant, Complete Laboratory Equipments etc
Fire Fighting System shall be as per the TAC Norms and cover all areas where alcohol is produced, handled and stored.
Provision of Foam System for Fire Fighting to control fire from the alcohol storage tank.
Green Belt Development plan in 33 % area and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.
