   CMJ Breweries Plans to set Up

 100 KLD Distillery with 3.5 MW CPP

    (Update : Ref Our Earlier Report on 28.05.2011 & 21.11.2011)

 

CMJ Breweries Private Limited  plans to set up  a  100 KLD Grain based Distillery along with a  3.5 MW Cogeneration Power Plant at Byrnihat, Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya. 

 

Raw Material :

Grains (Sorghum/Rice/Bajra/Wheat)

Alpha Amylase, Amyloglu Considose

H2SO4, Urea, Nutrients

 will be used as raw materials. 

  

The Unit will manufacture ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol) & RS (Rectified Spirit).

 

Capacity :

Distillery                   : 100 KLPD

Captive Power Plant : 3.5 MW

 

Location : Lower Balian, New Industrial Area-MIDC,

                Village Lower Balian, Taluka Byrnihat,

                Ri Bhoi District, Meghalaya

                    

As 0n  July 05, 2012 The Project is in Planning stage now.

The unit would come up on about 12 Acres of Land .

 

Thick Green belt in 33 % (4 Acres ) of the total area will be developed all round the plant boundary to act as noise attenuator.

 

IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had on 21.06.2012 CMJ Breweries Private Limited  the Project is under Panning Stage now.

The Land has been acquired.

 

 The project work is likely to start soon.

 

The Project   is Scheduled to be  Completed

by September, 2013 .

The Main Scope of Supply includes:

Biomass/Coal will be used as raw material for Steam generation and Power requirement for ethanol plant.

Air Pollution Control Equipment :

Electrostatic Precipitators/ Bag Filter

The  particulate emissions from the

Biomass/Coal Fired boiler will be controlled by ESP/Bag Filter and emissions will be dispersed through Stack of Suitable Height.

 

State of Art Bag Filter alongwith adequate stack height will be installed to bring down particulate matter to control particular matter within 100 mg/m3.

 

Flue gases after super heating the steam will pass through Economizer where they will  Pre-Heat the boiler Feed water before it enters the boiler drum. After Economizer, flue will pass through Air Pre-Heaters where they will heat the air which will be  fed to the boiler furnace for burning the fuel.

 

After Air Pre Heaters flue gases will pass through an Electro Static Precipitator where the Dust Particles will be  collected on charged electrodes. After passing through ESP, clean flue gases with dust particle concentration also known as SPM level less than 100 mg/Nm3 through a Chimney of prescribed height.

The dust will be  collected from the bottom of the ESP.

 

High pressure superheated steam from boiler will pass through a Steam Turbine and at the lower pressure will go to the condenser.

The part of the steam will be extracted from the extraction points provided on the turbine, which will be used for distillery.

 

The condensed steam will return to the steam boiler as condensate and will again be boiled as steam.

 

While passing through the turbine, the high pressure and temperature steam will rotate the turbine rotor and an Electric Alternator mounted on the same shaft.

 

Electric power will be generated by the alternator. This electric power generated will be consumed in house i.e. for running the distillery and utilities like boilers auxiliaries etc.

 

To control the particulate emissions from the Rice Husk and Coal  Fired boiler will be controlled by ESP/Bag House and emissions will be dispersed through Stack of Suitable Height.

 

DG Set : . 1 No.

D.G. set : 1000 KVA  will be installed for stand by arrangement..

Fuel : HSD will be used as fuel in D.G. Sets.

Emissions from D.G. sets will be vented through  a stack.

Silencer (Acoustic enclosures) to be provided to D.G.

Water Treatment Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant

Sand Filter, Iron Filter, ACF, DM Plant, Tube Settlers etc.

Pumps Valves, Custom Pipeline Work

 

Water requirement  will be 1200 m3/day.

It will be sourced  from ground water source.

 

Water requirement should be restricted upto 10 Kl/Kl of alcohol

for grain based distillery.

 

Effluent Treatment Plant

 

Spent wash will be passed through decanter and slops coming out will be partly recycled and balance quantity will be transferred for evaporation in Multiple Effect Evaporators (MEE) into thick syrup.

 

 Thick syrup will be mixed into wet cake and form DWGS, which will be used as cattle feed and poultry feed.

 

 Zero discharge will be maintained.

Domestic sewage will be disposed off through septic tank followed by soak pit. DWGS/DDGS (110 MTPD) will be used as cattle feed. Fly ash (40 TPD) will be sold to nearby cement plant.

 

Non-process effluent like DM plant, Regeneration water & Boiler Blow Down will be neutralized in neutralization in neutralization tanks and will be mixed with Cooling Tower Blow down..

 

 Other Equipments:

Material Handling Equipment : Conveyor, Hydraulic Equipment/Cranes

 DG Set, Air Compressor. DC/VFD Drive, Gear Box, Insulation, Valves, Pipes & Tubes, Cables, Automatic Weighing Machines for Bulk & Liquid Materials. Straight Line Steam Tunnel, Pneumatic Piston Filler, Pressure Filler,Storage Tank, Cooling Tower/ Plant, Air Conditioning Plant, Complete Laboratory Equipments  etc

 

Fire Fighting System shall be as per the TAC Norms and cover all areas where  alcohol is produced, handled and stored.

 

Provision of Foam System for Fire Fighting to control fire from the alcohol storage tank.

 

Green Belt Development plan in 33 % area 

(Approx. 4 Acres) and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.
