Angadi Sugars Plans To Set Up
10 Lakh TPA Sugar Plant with CPP
Angadi Sugars & Power Limited plans to set up a
10 Lakh TPA Refined Sugar Plant along with a
14 MW Biomass Based Captive Power Plant
at Ganikoppa Village, Bailahongal Taluka in Belgaum District , Karnataka.

As 0n April 03, 2012 : The Project is in planning stage.
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had last with
Angadi Sugars & Power Limited on March 24, 2012 the company is waiting for the Environment Clearance and “NOC” from State Pollution Control Authority.

Although the company is expecting all the clearances and approval from the govt. within a month or two, but they want to start the Civil work from October,2012 to avoid the Rainy Season.

It will take 18 months to finish the project work and is Scheduled to be completed by March,2014.

The Main Scope of Supply includes:
( alternatively 120 TPH if the Captive Powe Plant’s Capacity fix up to 22 MW instead of 14 MW.
Note :
As per the discussion we had with Angadi Sugars & Power Limited
on March 24, 2012, since the final technical parameters has not been freezed so far ( but under approval stage) the capacity of Captive Power Plant may go up to maximum 22MW . In that case, capacity of Boiler will increase from 70 TPH to 120 TPH)

Wet Scrubber for arresting fly ash
Air Pollution Control Equipment :
Wet Scrubber is proposed for the boiler to contain the dust emissions from the plant within the prescribed pollution control norms.
Besides above the height of the stack; which disburses the pollutants is to be fixed based on the guidelines given by the pollution regulation of the state.

Ash handling system collecting ash from furnace, Combustion chamber ,Economiser, air heater and wet scrubber shall be transported by
Belt Conveyors to a Silo to be provided.
Turbo Alternator :
The steam from the main steam header will be taken to the
Turbo–Generators. After rotating the turbinethe exhaust steam is
condensed in the Air Cooled Condensers and the
condensed water is pumped to the De-Aerator and fed back to the boilers.

All the Conveyors will be covered with GI sheets to prevent the fugitive dust emission into the atmosphere.

Cooling water system The system shall cater to the requirement of the condenser for turbo generator, the auxiliaries of the turbo generator and the auxiliaries of the steam generator. A two cell, induced draft (1 running, 1 standby) cross flow cooling tower, to meet the cooling water requirement for the co-generation plant shall be provided.

The main plant control room housing the controls for the boilers and the turbo generators shall be air conditioned with split air conditioners and suitable exhaust fans to ensure effective ventilation and dust free atmosphere.

An inclined toughed belt conveyor positioned to received wet sugar from the
Grass Hopper Coveyor.
Fluidised Bed Sugar Dryer : 1 No.
To dry and cool the sugar received from belt conveyor suitable for bagging.

Total Requirement of Water:
The maximum water will be required for Power Plant. Since the Capacity of power plant has not been freezed the toatal capacity of water is now on working out stage.
Polishing plant : For hot condensate from Evaporators & Pan along with Cooling System.
Effluent Treatment System and Scheme
The sugar effluent shall be treated based on Two Stage Aeration System, the State of the Art technology. The treated effluent shall be utilized on its own land for land application.
