New Phaltan Sugar Works Distilleries Division Ltd. plans to set up
a 50 KLD Molasses based Distillery at Surawadi, A/P Sakharwadi, Phaltan Tehsil
in Satara District, Maharashtra.
Capacity :
Distillery : 50 KLD
Location : Surawadi, A/P Sakharwadi, Phaltan Tehsil
Satara District, Maharashtra
As on June 25, 2014 : The Project is under Planning Stage.
The distillery unit will come up within the Existing Sugar Factory Premises that has 15.72 Acre of land .
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had on 12.06.2014 with New Phaltan Sugar Works
the Project is under Panning Stage now.
The company is waiting for Environmental Clearances.
The project work is likely to start by October,2014.
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed
by December,2015 .

The Main Scope of Supply includes:
Boiler : 50 TPH – 1 No.
Fuel : Baggase (40 MT/Day)
Bio-Gas (20,000 m3/Day)
Heat Exchanger, Air Pre- Heater/ Economiser.
Fermentation plant
Distillation plant
Evaporation plant
Molasses storage tanks
Alcohol storage tanks
Spent wash storage tanks
Fuel system
Cooling Tower
Bottling Plant
Dryer
Multiple Effect Evaporators
Conveyors
Air Pollution Control Equipment :
Electrostatic Precipitators/ Bag Filter
To control the particulate emissions from the
Baggase Fired boiler will be controlled by ESP/Bag Filter/ high efficiency wet scrubber and emissions will be dispersed through Stack of Suitable Height.
Flue gases after super heating the steam will pass through Economizer where they will Pre-Heat the boiler Feed water before it enters the boiler drum. After Economizer, flue will pass through Air Pre-Heaters where they will heat the air which will be fed to the boiler furnace for burning the fuel.
The condensed steam will return to the steam boiler as condensate and will again be boiled as steam.
DG Set : . 500 KVA : 1 No.
A DG set will be installed for emergency
power Back-up during power failure

Water Treatment Plant
Iron Filter, ACF, DM Plant etc.
Pumps Valves, Custom Pipeline Work.
Water requirement of about 381 m3/day will be met
from Nira Right bank Canal.
Effluent Treatment Plant:
The Company will have a full pledged Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to treat
the effluent as per the norms.
Spent wash generated will be
treated in Biomethanation plant so
there is no such risk of contamination.
Other Equipments:
Material Handling Equipment : Conveyor, Hydraulic Equipment/Cranes,
DG Set, Air Compressor. DC/VFD Drive, Gear Box, Insulation, Valves, Pipes & Tubes, Cables, Automatic Weighing Machines for Bulk & Liquid Materials. Straight Line Steam Tunnel, Pneumatic Piston Filler, Pressure Filler,Storage Tank, Cooling Tower/ Plant, Air Conditioning Plant, Complete Laboratory Equipments etc
Fire Fighting System shall be as per the TAC Norms and cover all areas where alcohol is produced, handled and stored.
Provision of Foam System for Fire Fighting to control fire from the alcohol storage tank.
Green Belt Development plan in 33 % area
and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.
