Akzo Nobel India Limited plans to set up an Integrated Automated Paints Manufacturing Unit to produce
Water Based Paint having Capacity of 150 Million Ltrs/Year, Solvent Based Paint having Capacity of
50 Million Ltrs/Year and Tinter having Capacity of
7.2 Million Ltrs/Year at Gurikha Village in Bhind District,
Madhya Pradesh,
Capacity :
1. Water based Paint : 150 Million Ltrs/Year
2. Solvent based Paint : 50 Million Ltrs/Year
3. Tinter : 7.2 Million Ltrs/Year
Location : Malanpur Industrial Estate, Village: Gurikha,
Taluk:Gohad, Bhind District, Madhya Pradesh
As 0n April 17, 2012: The Project is in Planning Stage.
The Project will come up on 226250 m2 Area of Land.
Out of this 74664 m2 (33%) of area will be developed as Green Belt.
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had on 06.04.2012 with Akzo Nobel India Limited project is under planning stage.
Land has been acquired . The company is wating for “NOC” from State Pollution Control Board.
The project work is expected to stat in
June, 2012.
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed
in December, 2013.

AIR POLLUTION CONTROL:
Stack (30 m) will be provided to HSD/LDO fired Steam Boilers to control particulate emissions.
Dust extraction system will be provided to capture fugitive emissions of fine particulates from mixers during Powder Charging.
Water Treatment Plant:
Oxidisation Chamber,Filter, DM Plant, R.O. Plant
Pumps, Valves, Custom Pipeline Work, Plumbing Work
The total water of 460 m3/Day will be met
from IIDC Gwalior. .
Effluent Treatment Plant :
The wastewater generation will be 29 m3/day.
Water Based process : 5 m3/day
Solvent Based Process : 20 m3/day
Tinter process : 4 m3/day

Adititionally, Cooling Tower Blowdown, Cooling Blow Down, DM plant Regeneration, Plant Service waste water and sanitary waste water.
Industrial effluent will be treated in ETP comprising Physiochemical Treatment facility, Biological Treatment and Tertiary treatment. Treated effluent will be recycled.
Total Sewage generated will be 40 M3 /day and will be treated in Sewage Treatment Plant,
HCI, HBr, and vapour emissions from the reactors/process vents shall be provided with suitable scrubbers and condensers. Scrubber efficiency shall be minimum 99%.
Hazardous Solid waste from process (ETP sludge & spent carbon) etc. shall be sent to the Common TSDF.

Dosing Systems, Heat Exchangers, Ball Mills, Drum Mixers, Agitators, Pulverizes, Dryers, Solvent Calibration Tank, S S Reaction Vessel with Stirrer, Gear & Elec.
