Bodal Chemicals Ltd. (Unit VII) plans Expansion of its Dyes and Dyes Intermediates Manufacturing Unit from 2,200 MTPM to
6,000 MTPM alongwith a 5 MW Lignite Based Captive Power Plant Dudhvada Village in Vadodara District,Gujarat.

As 0n July 20, 2011 : The Project is in Planning stage now.
Expansion will be done in the existing premises having an area of
1,42,000 m2. Existing green belt area is 28,000 m2 (20 %)
of the total plot area and after expansion Green Belt will be

The project work is likely to start from August/September,2011,

The Main Scope of Supply includes:
Boiler : Coal Fired ( Power Plant)
Fuel : Coal : Coal requirement will be increased from 170 MTPD to 345 MTPD for expansion
Heat Exchangers, Air Pre-heater/Economiser)
Two Stage Cyclone Separators and Water scrubber
Bag Filter
Venture Scrubber
Multi-Cyclone is provided to existing Coal fired IBR steam Boiler -1, 2,3,4, Thermic Heater and Hot Air Generator to control particulate matter within 150 mg/m3, SO2 within 100 ppm and NOx within 50 ppm.
Quenching followed by Venture Scrubber followed by Spray Tower to be provided to existing Incinerator-1 & 2.
Two ESPs alongwith stack (70 m) to be provided to New Captive power plant.
Packed column followed by Two venture scrubbers followed by alkali scrubber alongwith stack (15m) is provided to existing Chlorosulphonator and Decomposition to control HCl within 20 mg/m3 and SO2 within 40 mg/Nm3.
Packed column followed by two venture scrubbers followed by alkali scrubber to be provided to Chlorosulphonator & Decomposition to control HCl within 20 mg/Nm3 and SO2 within 40 mg/Nm3.
Two stage cyclone separator followed by wet scrubber to be provided to Spray Dryer 1A and 2A to control particulate matter within 50 mg/Nm3.
DG set : Power supply will be increased from 3300 KVA to 5000 KVA. Existing power is supplied by Gujarat Electricity Board and additional power supply will be met from Co-generation power plant and for Emergency (during Power Failure) the one DG set will be installed.

1400 m3/day to 2205 m3/day after expansion.
Effluent Treatment Plant
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) comprising primary, secondary and tertiary treatment unit is provided for the treatment of existing generated wastewater from the premises. The quantity of wastewater to be treated in the ETP will not be increased and treated in the existing ETP. Domestic effluent will be mixed with primary treated effluent and sent to biological treatment. Zero effluent discharge system (ZED) will be modified so as to take care additional wastewater of condensate from various manufacturing. Concentrated effluent generated from the manufacturing of Vinyl sulphone, H-acid and B Napthol are incinerated.
