Tamilnadu.

Thuvarasi Village,Tirunelveli District, Tamilnadu.
As 0n June 28, 2011 : The Project is under Planning Stage.
The unit would come up on about 5 Acres of Land .
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had on 24.06.2011 with
Arjun Pulp and Paper (India) Private Limited, the Project is under Panning Stage now.
The company is waiting for the clearance from State Pollution Control
Authority.
The project work is likely to start from August/ September 2011.
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed
by December 2012

The Main Scope of Supply includes:
Boiler : 40 TPH (AFBC)
Fuel : Imported Coal, lignite, Saw dust,
DOB & Wood chips

High Efficiency Electro Static Precipitators (ESP)
Cooled Condenser :
Use of Air Cooled Condenser to be used to reduce water consumption.
Total Ash Generation will be
Fly Ash : 17.88 TPD
Bed Ash : 2.24 TPD
Dust Suppression System like fog type and water spray system will be installed in the material unloading areas like fog type and water spray system will be installed in the material unloading areas.
Power Evacuation:
Power will be evacuated to its in-house used after stepped down
11 kV and 433 volts
All the Conveyors will be covered with GI sheets to prevent the fugitive dust emission into the atmosphere.

The project will source its entire water requirement from Thamirabarani River.
The total daily fresh water requirement of the proposed co-generation plant is
about 780 m3/ Day.
The project will not extract groundwater and hence there will be no impact on ground water.
(Use of Air Cooled Condenser reduces the water consumption)
Waste Water & Effluent Treatment Plant:
The wastewater generated in the plant area will be treated in the ETP plant and will be recycled / reused in the plant process.
Total Waste Water generation will be : 239 m3/ Day.
Under normal operation of the plant, no wastewater will be discharged out side plant premises. The storm water in the project area will be collected through storm water drains and shall be suitably diverted to rainwater harvesting pits and the overflow from the RWH pits will be diverted to nearby nalla.
Hence, impact on the water quality is not envisaged.
The waste water, which will be generated from the Co-Gen plant will be:
Boiler Blowdown
Auxiliary Cooling Water Blowdown
D.M. Plant Regeneration Waste
Domestic Sewage
The wastewater will be generated from DM plant and cooling towers in the powerplant. Additionally, domestic wastewater from canteen and employees wash area will also be generated. The following measures to minimize the impacts and conservation of fresh water are to be installed :
Recycling of complete wastewater generated in cooling tower into ash handling and disposal;
Recycling the entire wastewater from DM plant and boiler after treat it in papermill ETP;
Provision of septic tank to treat domestic sewage from plant;
Utilization of treated wastewater for greenbelt development;
Suitable rainwater harvesting structures to be constructed.

Material Handling Equipment : Conveyor, Screen, Crushers, Hydraulic Equipment/Cranes.
All the Conveyors will be covered with GI sheets to prevent the fugitive dust emission into the atmosphere.

Green Belt Development & Rain water harvesting
Green Belt Development plan in 1.66 Acres area Rain water harvesting pits will be constructed to harvest the roof top water in consultation with State Ground Water Board.
The company will develop wide greenbelt around the project premises. In the
proposed greenbelt, trees will be planted in an area of 0.72-ha (1.66 Acres) land with a density of 2000 trees/ha. Every year 500 number of trees will be planted and
absolute greenbelt will be developed over a period 3 years.
