Mylan Laboratories Limited plans to enhance the production capacity of its Active Pharma Ingredients (API’s) manufacturing Unit from 15.51 Ton/Month to 81.52 Ton/Month along with setting up of a New Coal Based 5 MW Co-Generation Power Plant at Pashamylaram Village, Pattancheru Mondal in Medak District, Andhra Pradesh.

The expansion of its Active Pharma Ingredients and New Power Plant will come up
at its existing Plant Area of 30.81 Acres.
IMPORTANT: As per the the discussion we had
on 12.05.2014 with Mylan Laboratories Limited.
the Project is under Panning Stage.
The company is still waiting for Environmental Clearance.
The Project Work is likely to commence
in April, 2015.
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed by

Presently the company is operating Two Nos. of following Capacity Boiler:
Boiler -I
Capacity : 8 TPH - 1 No.
Fuel : Coal
Stack : Height- 30 Meters / Dia: 1500 mm
Boiler -II
Capacity : 5 TPH - 1 No.
Fuel : FO
Stack : Height- 30 Meters / Dia: 1500 mm
Note:
After Expansion proposed 30 TPH Capacity Boiler will be in operation and existing 8 TPH & 5 TPH Capacity Boilers will remain as stand by.

Air Polution Control:
There will be one nos. of flue gas stack which are the main emission source from the plant.
Proper Stack height and air pollution control measures will be provided in order to achieve norms prescribed by statutory authority.
For Boiler Cyclone separator. & Bag filter will be provided with 42 Meter of Stack for 30 TPH Coal Fired Boiler.
Scrubber will also be provided.

The effluent generated from the proposed expansion is mainly from process, washings, scrubbers, cooling towers & boiler blow downs and domestic effluent. Effluent from process, HTDS effluent sent to Stripper, Multiple Effect Evaporator followed by ATFD, Biological treatment and RO.
LTDS effluent from process, washings, scrubbers, Solvent recovery system, DM rejects, Cooling towers, boiler
bow downs, detoxification effluent, ZLD washings and domestic effluents shall be sent to
Biological treatment system followed by RO. The treated effluent shall be reused for cooling towers.
Solid wastes are generated from the process shall be sent to TSDF/ Cement Industries for Co-incineration. Stripper distillate shall send to TSDF/ Cement Industries for Coincineration.
Evaporation salts from MEE and ATFD and ETP Sludge shall be sent to TSDF.
