2.5 MTPA Cement Plant With 72 MW CPP

Jai Bhole Cement Combine Private Limited plans to set up a Greenfield Integrated Cement Plant comprising of
2.5 MTPA of Cement (Blended) Grinding Unit , 2.0 MTPA of Clinker Unit along with Coal based Captive Power plant of 72 MW, WHRB Power plant of 10 MW and
2 x 6 MW DG SET at Velabai Village, Wani Taluka in Yavatmal District, Maharashtra.

Cement Plant : 2.5 MTPA
Clinker : 2.0 MTPA
1. Coal Based : 72 MW
2. WHRB : 10 MW
DG SET : 2X6 MW
Location : Velabai Village, Wani Taluka,
Yavatmal District, Maharashtra
As 0n November 22, 2012 : The Project is under planning stage.
The project is coming up on about 100.81 Ha of single crop
agriculture land.
Out of this 35% of the area will be developed as Green Belt.
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had on 19.11.2012 with Jai Bhole Cement Combine Private Limited the project is under planning stage.

Earlier last year, on October 12, 2011, the company had signed an MoU with Maharashtra Government to set up this Integrated Greenfield cement plant and expected cost of the project is Rs.1,501.97 crore.

The Main Scope of Supply includes:
Captive Power Plant : 72 MW + 10 MW
(WHRB: 10 MW + AFBC : 72 MW)
1.Waste Heat Recovery Boiler:
The hot flue gases from DRI kilns will pass through waste heat recovery Boilers to recover the heat and to generate 10 MW electricity. The gases after heat recovery will pass through ESPs and then discharged through chimneys into the atmosphere for effective dispersion of emissions into the atmosphere.
2.Fluidized Bed Combustion (FBC) Boiler:
It will be based on FBC Boiler Technology where Mixture of Coal and Middlings of Coal washery shall be used as fuel in AFBC Boiler to generate 72 MW electricity. The flue-gases will be treated in high efficiency ESP and then discharged through stack into the atmosphere.
Heat Exchangers, Air Pre-heater/Economiser) to be included both type of Boilers.
Rotary Klin: Rotary kiln with multistage preheater and
precalcinator fo Clinkerisation of the raw meal.
Kiln will be provided with Bag house, ESP for Cooler and Bag filters for Coal mill and Cement will be provided.

Manufacturing Process :
The manufacturing process involves crushing of limestone, grinding of raw materials, homogenization of raw meal, pyroprocessing, clinker making, clinker storage, and cooling, cement making and blending with fly ash, packing and dispatch.
Limestone, Iron ore, Gypsum and Coal will be the raw material used during the manufacturing of cement and in power plant.
Limestone will be sourced from from adjacent Captive Mines..
Indian Coal will be sourced from Coal India Ltd and Imported coal will be sourced from either Indonesia/South Africa.
The Total Minerals required for cement plant are:
Power required for the proposed plant will be sourced from captive power plant (72 MW)

Dry process will be used for cement production.
Vertical Roller Mill will be provided for Drying and Grinding the raw materials.
Bended raw material will be fed to Pyro-Processing section (kiln) and heated at 14500C for clinker formation. Clinker will be cooled and ground at closed circuit ball mills.
In Captive Power Plant, chemical energy of coal will be converted to heat energy for steam generation which will be used to cement mechanical energy in a turbine to electrical energy.

Air Polution Control Equipment:
Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) will be provided to cement mill and Power plant.
The major pollutants expected from the power plant will be PM, SO2 and NOx. ESPs to cooler and CPP, bag house to kiln/raw mill and coal mill and bag filters to cement mill and packing plants will be provided to control the SPM emissions below 50 mg/m3.
Effective pollution control measures will be provided to control the emissions from the Cement Plant & Boiler:
• Reverse Air bag house (RABH) shall
be provided for Kiln/Raw Mill.
• Bag House shall be provided to Cement Grinding Section.
• Low NOX burners to reduce NOX generation.
• Highly efficient ESP’s to arrest dust
Fugitive emissions from Limestone handling, coal handling, clinker hopper, storage silos, weight feeders, grinding mills and packing machines will be controlled by providing covered sheds for storage of raw materials, fully covered conveyors for transportation of materials, etc.
The steam from the main steam header will be taken to the
Turbo–Generators. After rotating the turbinethe exhaust steam is
condensed in the Air Cooled Condensers and the
condensed water is pumped to the De-Aerator and fed back to the boilers.
All transfer points also will have Bag Filters. The emissions from all the Pollution Control Equipment will be restricted to less than 50 mg/nm3

The following air pollution control systems/ measures are proposed in the Plant
1. All Conveyors will be completely covered with G.I. sheets to control fugitive
dust.
2. All bins will be totally packed and covered so that there will not be any chance
for dust leakage.
3. All the Dust Prone Points Material Handling systems to be connected with
de-dusting system with bag filters.
4. All Discharge Points and Feed points, wherever the possibility of dust
generation is there a de-dusting suction point will be provided to collect the dust.
5. The collected Dust from the Bag house of Steel Melting to be taken to a dust storage bin through a Pneumatic Conveying system.
Water Treatment Plant
Sand Filter, Iron Filter, ACF, DM Plant,Tube Settlers etc.
Pumps Valves, Custom Pipeline Work
Water requirement will be 3500 m3/Day for both cement plant and power plant.
Source of Water: The water requirement will be met
from from nearby River..
Effluent Treatment Plant
No industrial wastewater will be generated from the cement plant.
Wastewater will be generated from captive power plant, which will be treated in ETP.
The waste generated during the construction phase will be segregated into non-biodegradable and biodegradable wastes and managed accordingly. The non-biodegradable wastes are further classified into metal scraps, plastics and combustibles, which will be sold and/or disposed appropriately. During operation phase of the proposed project, the municipal waste generation will be handled scientifically
All the treated wastewater will be used for Ash conditioning, dust suppression, green belt development. Oil & grease will be removed and treated in a neutralization pit. The dust collected from the various air pollution control measures like bag houses/filters, ESPs etc. will be totally recycled in the process for cement manufacturing. Fly ash will be pneumatically transported to the cement plant to be used in the cement manufacturing.
