        L H Sugar Plans To Set Up 

60 KLPD Distillery with Captive Power

          

L H Sugar Factories Limited  plans to set up a 60 KLPD Molasses based Distillery along with  2.0 MW Co-Generation Power Plant (Coal/Rice Husk/ Bagasse )  at Jangraulipul Village, Tehsil : Pilibhit in Pilibhit District, Uttar Pradesh.
 
It will produce ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol), Rectified Spirit, Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) & Country Liquor (CL) in the above plant.

Capacity :

Distillery                   : 60 KLPD

Captive Power Plant  : 2.0 MW

( Fuel : Coal/Rice Husk/ Bagasse)


Bottling Plant


Total Working Days in a year : 270 days

 

 Location : Jangraulipul Village, Tehsil : Pilibhit 

                     Pilibhit District, Uttar Pradesh

                    

As on  January 23, 2014 : The Project is under Planning Stage. 

 

The unit would come up in the same premises of its  its existing  

10000 TCD Capacity Sugar Mill that has 29.6 Acres of Land .


Out of this about 33% (9.76 Acre) of the area will be developed as Green Belt.

 

IMPORTANT: As per the the discussion we had

on 27.12.2013 with L H Sugar Factories Limited

the Project  is  under Panning Stage.

 

The company is now waiting for Environmental clearances . 


The Project Work is likely start by February/March,2014.

 

 The Project   is Scheduled to be  Completed in

12-15 Months from the date of commencement of the project work.

Air Pollution Control Equipment :

Electrostatic Precipitators/ Bag Filter

 

To control the particulate emissions from Coal  Fired boiler will be controlled by ESP and emissions will be dispersed through Stack Height  of  45 Meters.

 

Steam generated from the boiler will be utilized in the generation of 

2.0 MW Power and will also be used for Boiler feed water heating and Distillery.

 

Flue gases after super heating the steam will pass through Economizer where they will  Pre-Heat the boiler Feed water before it enters the boiler drum. After Economizer, flue will pass through Air Pre-Heaters where they will heat the air which will be  fed to the boiler furnace for burning the fuel.

 

After Air Pre Heaters flue gases will pass through an Electro Static Precipitator where the Dust Particles will be  collected on charged electrodes. After passing through ESP, clean flue gases with dust particle concentration also known as SPM level less than 100 mg/Nm3 through a Chimney of prescribed height.


The dust will be  collected from the bottom of the ESP.


Power Requirement and Source:

 

The total estimated consumed load for the Project is estimated to be 1.6 MW. 

The company’s proposal is to install 2.0 MW Co – Generation Power Plant.

 

Steam generated from the boilers of will be utilized in the generation of 2.0 MW Power which will be for own consumption.

Steam generated from boiler will also be used for boiler feed water heating and distillery.


Fuel in the steam boiler will be burnt with the help of air in the boiler furnace. Water will be circulated in the boiler drum and tubes thus getting heated by the flame burning in the boiler furnace. Water comes out of the boiler drum located at the top of the boiler as steam. Flue gases rise in the boiler furnace and come in contact with the steam coming out of boiler drum. Steam after coming in contact with flue gases gets heated up further thus getting superheated. Super heated steam leaves the boiler in a pipe. Flue gases after super heating the steam pass through economizer where they pre-heat the boiler feed water before it enters the boiler drum. After economizer, flue gases pass through air pre-heaters where they heat the air which is

fed to the boiler furnace for burning the fuel. After air pre heaters flue gases pass through an Electro Static Precipitator where the dust particles are collected on charged electrodes. After passing through ESP, clean flue gases with dust particle concentration also known as SPM level less than 100 mg/Nm3 through a chimney of prescribed height. The dust is collected from the bottom of the ESP.


High pressure superheated steam from boiler will pass through a steam turbine will be used for distillery.

While passing through the turbine, the high pressure and temperature steam will rotate the turbine rotor and an electric alternator mounted on the same shaft. Electric power will be generated by the alternator. This electric power generated will be consumed in house i.e. for running the distillery and utilities like boilers auxiliaries etc.

Details of Material Handling for Distillery:

Bucket Elevators, Vibrating  Screen,

Hammer  Mills, Screw Conveyor

 

GRAIN STORAGE : Pre-Cleaning and to store in Storage Silos.

 

GRAIN STORAGE : The grain has  to be lifted in Bucket Elevators,

screened followed by removal of stones and iron matter.

 

 Cleaned Grains are then milled using dry milling process in Hammer  Mills.

The flour is fed through the Bucket Elevators and conveyed to the Batch Tipping Machine through a Screw Conveyor.

Cooled Condenser  :

Use of Air Cooled Condenser to be used to reduce water consumption.

 

All the Conveyors will be covered with GI sheets to prevent the fugitive dust emission into the atmosphere.

 

DG set :

750 KVA – 2 Nos.

Stack Height (above roof level) : As per CPCB/SPCB norms

Effluent Treatment Plant :

The plant washing of will be fed to clarifier.

The overflow from clarifier & the NF Reject will be taken to the collection tank for proper mixing. Effluent from the collection tank will be pumped to aeration.

 

The stream from clarifier will be feed to in Anaerobic Treatment followed by separator the sludge is separated and will be sent to equalization tank.

Waste water generated or distillery effluent stream is known as spent wash. 


It is a dark brown highly organic effluent and is approximately 10-12 times by volume of

the product alcohol. It is one of the most complex, troublesome and strongest

organic industrial effluents, having extremely high COD and BOD values. 

 

Because of the high concentration of organic load, distillery spent wash is a potential source of

renewable energy. Liquid effluents that come from a grass roots distillery are :

 

#The spent wash from analyzer column bottom ;

 

#The effluent from water treatment plant – water softening plant and DM plant.


# Cooling water purge from cooling towers.


 #Boiler blow down


 # Spent lees from exhaust column bottom, spent lees from re-rectification

    column of ENA plant and spent lees from vaporizer column bottom in the

    dehydration (absolute alcohol) plant.


# Floor washings and washings from equipment.


The spent wash from analyzer column bottom is collected in clarifier for removal of

suspended particles and then treated anaerobically to produce value addition

products like methane & Bio-compost and to achieve zero discharge.
