Kutch Chemical Industries Limited is going for Expansion of its Organic & Inorganic Chemical and Other specialty chemical mnufacturing unit at Padana in Kutch District in Gujrat.
The project also involves to manufacture NEW PRODUCTS along with the Expansion of its Captive Power Plant from 2.5 MW to 12 MW.

As 0n March 10, 2011 : The project is under planning stage..
The is Entire project is coming up on a land area of 75,000 Sq. Meter.
Out of which Green Belt & Open area is in 24750 Sq. Meter, ie. 33 % of the total land area.

IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had last with
Kutch Chemical Industries Limited on 09.03.2011, the project is under planning stage now.
The project work is expected to start within a couple of month.
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed by
the End of 2012.
The Main Scope of Supply includes:
Boiler :
For power generation steam will be generated from the boiler, which is then sent to steam turbine to generate the power. At the outlet of the turbine steam goes to condenser to recover the water utilized and further sent back to the boiler. The fuel utilized for the boiler will be Coal.
To generate 10 MW, a Steam of 40 MTD required, which is generated from the coal based boiler.
The coal consumption for the required steam would be approximately 10 MTD.
For Power plant, separate coal yard will be made in which coal will be stored, from coal yard the coal will be sent to crusher. The crushed coal is then sent to silo for ultimate feed in to the combustion chamber.
Air Pre-heater/Economiser)
Pullution Control Equipment:
Scrubbers, Cyclone SeparatorsThe sources of Air Emission from the Industrial Boiler & Power Plant Stack, Process emissions from various plant viz Sulphuric Acid, CSA, CaCl2, DASDA etc.
The flue gas emission from Industrial Boiler will be released through Filter Bags to stack with adequate height. The process vents from the Reaction Tanks are attached to the scrubber before releasing to the atmosphere
The Captive Power plant will be comprising of following units:

DCS Control:
The plant is provided with data logging system through DCS control circuits for
control of parameters like Acid concentration control, pump tank level control, Boiler feed water level control, boiler feed water from deaerator temperature control.
All the output signals are fed to a computer and output data is collected based on reports to be prepared including log sheets.
SO2 Scrubber
It is very important that SO2 emission during plant startup is controlled within persmissible limits.
This is achieved by use of a alkali scrubber located after the final absorption tower where gas is scrubbed with circulating alkali solution.

About 1516.5 KLD of Water requirement will be sourced from from Gujrat Water Infrastructure – Narmada Water pipeline).
DM and Water Softening Plants
For generation of steam of high quality DM water is required for this purpose RO plant and DM plant will be installed
Cooling Tower Make Up :
The requirement of Cooling water (make up -740 KLD) and Boiler make-up( make-up: 60 KLD).
The blow down will be directly taken to the effluent treatment plant for treatment and disposal.
Effluent Treatment Plant:
The industrial wastewater generation from the project wil be about 486 KLD. Generated wastewater shall be treated in Effluent Treatment Plant.
The unit will be provided with the metering facility at the inlet and outlet of the ETP as well as the Recycling / Reuse lines, etc. and maintain records for the same.
Sweage Treatment Plant:
Domestic wastewater shall be treated in the proposed STP shall be used for Green Belt Development and irrigation within the premises.
Total The Sweage Generation : 30 KLD
Supply Of Other Equipments:
Material Handling Equipment : Conveying Systems, Hydraulic Equipments/Cranes.
Acid Pumps, Motors, Heat Exchangers, Agitators and Mixers ,Valves, Dryers, Vessels, Custom Pipelines, Storage Tank , Cooling Tower/ Plant,Hoses, Air Conditioning , Fire Fighting Equipment, Cables, Air Conditioning M/c., Automatic Weighing Machines for Bulk & Liquid Materials, Complete Laboratory Equipments etc.
Green Belt Development plan in 33 % area and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.
