Expansion Of its Agro-Chemical Unit
Astec Lifescience Ltd. plans to expand the production capacity of its Pesticides and Chemical intermediates manufacturing Unit from 219 Ton/Month to 880.94 Ton/Month (that includes expansion of existing manufacturing capacity and manufacturing of new products) at Mahad MIDC in Raigad District, Maharashtra.

From 219 Ton/Month to 880.94 Ton/Month
It includes expansion of existing manufacturing capacity and manufacturing of new products.

The expansion will come up on its existing Factory Area :13950 sq. meter of Area.
Existing Green Belt Area: 3500 sq. meter.
Proposed Green Belt Area: 1100 sq. meter.
Total Green Belt Area: 4600 sq. meter.
(33% of plot area)
IMPORTANT: As per the the discussion we had
on 08.12.2015 with Astec Lifescience Ltd.
the Project is under Panning Stage.
The company is waiting for Environmental Clearance.
The Project is Scheduled to be Completed
in 12 - 18 Months from the date of the commencement
of the project work.

Waste Water Treatment Plant:
Trade effluent generated from the expansion project will be 157 m3/Day.
High TDS will be treat in MEE followed by ATFD and Low TDS will be treat in ETP plant consisting primary, secondary and tertiary treatment with RO unit for permeate will be recycled and effect zero liquid discharge (ZLD).
The sewage generated due to domestic activities will be treated in STP of 157 m3/Day capacity and treated water will be reused for gardening.
Effluent Treatment Plant:
Capacity : 250 m3/ Day
ETP is designed to treat 214 m3 / day of effluent. The treatment to the stream
is in the following sequence.
Physico-Chemical Treatment:
The treatment include the following
1) Oil and Grease trap
2) Equalization cum neutralization tank
3) Acid/Alkali dosing
4) Effluent transfer pump
5) Flash mixture
6) Primary Settling tank
7) Bioreactor –I
8) Secondary settling Tank –I
9) Bioreactor –II
10) Secondary Settling Tank –II
11) Sludge Drying bed
BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT
The biological treatment, (Activated Sludge Treatment) consists of following units;
1) Secondary clarifier tank-1
