Jay Bharat Steel Corporation (Gandhidham ( Kutch), Gujarat Based Company)  plans for  expansion of its  Steel Plant  that involves to expand   MS Steel Ingots/Billets manufacturing capacity from 27576 TPA to 6,00,000 TPA, and setting up of New manufacturing unit for MS Joists : 2,00,000 TPA, TMT Bars/Angles/Channels : 2,00,000 TPA, Silico Manganese:18,000 TPA  along with a 10 MW Captive Power Plant : 36 MW at  Dhamadka Village,Anjar Taluk in Kutch District, Gujarat.

As on  DECEMBER 11, 2012 : The Project is in planning stage.

 

The  company has existing plant on 21690.98 Sq. Meter of land.  Company has now occupied  58355.22 Sq. Meter of land.

Out of this Green Belt will be developed in 33% of Area.

 

IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had last  on 06.12.2012  with  of Jay Bharat Steel Corporation.

the Project is under planning stage.

 

The project is waiting for Environmental Clearances.  

The project work is likely to start from

February/March,2013.

 

The Entire Project   is Scheduled to be  Completed by  March, 2015 .

The Main Scope of Supply includes:

    (Multi extraction Turbo-Alternator)

        (Exsiting : 1 X 5 Ton)

2. CCM              : 6 X 11 Strand X 2

            (Exsiting : 6 X 11 Strand)

3. Rolling Mill (1 No )    : 2 X 30 Ton/Hr   

4. Steam Turbine (1 No ): 10 MW   

The plant will require one no 10 MW Steam Turbine and  have uncontrolled extraction connected to one constant pressure deaerator normally working at 125DegC feed water temperature.

Air Pollution Control Equipment :

Electrostatic Precipitators/ Bag Filters

 

Particulate emissions from the plant will be controlled within 50 mg/Nm3.

 

The plant shall be provided with Electrostatic Precipitators :

Electrostatic precipitator will be provided FBC boiler to control particulate emissions within 50 mg/Nm3.

 

Coal from the coal yard will be crushed in a Crusher and conveyed to coal storage bunkers of Boilers through a system of Conveyor Belts, Crusher and Vibrating Screens and is fed to the furnace.

 

ESP, Dust Extraction systems for Conveyor Transfer Points, Crusher and Screen house with Hoods, Bag filter and Fans will be provided.

 

De-mineralised water from the storage tank will be pumped to the boiler with the

aid of Boiler Feed Pump. The boiler feed water through an Economizer will

the Steam drum and water walls where it is heated and converted to

saturated steam.

 

The steam from the main steam header will be  taken to the

Turbo–Generators. After rotating the turbinethe exhaust steam is

condensed in the Air Cooled Condensers and the

condensed water is pumped to the De-Aerator and fed back to the boilers.

 

Cooling Tower  : 1 No.

Closed cycle Cooling Tower.

DG Set : . 1000 KVA

( The company has already a DG set of  380 KVA )

A D.G. set of  1000 KVA will be installed for stand by arrangement.

Stack : 12 Meter.

Silencer (Acoustic enclosures) to be provided to D.G.

Centralized Control System

One centralized Control System will be installed  for the operation of major equipment (Boiler, STG, CW System) in the plant and other auxiliary systems (Compressors and DM plant) shall be operated from their relay based local control panels/stations.

The following air pollution control systems/ measures are proposed in the Plant

1. All Conveyors will be completely covered with G.I. sheets to control fugitive dust.

2. All bins will be totally packed and covered so that there will not be any chance  for dust leakage.

3. All the Dust Prone Points Material Handling systems to be connected with     de-dusting system with bag filters.

4. All Discharge Points and Feed points, wherever the possibility of dust 

    generation is   there a de-dusting suction point will be provided to collect the dust.

5. The collected Dust from the Bag house of Steel Melting to be taken to a dust     storage bin through a Pneumatic Conveying system.

 

 

Water Treatment Plant :

Oxdisation Chamber, Filter, D.M. Plant, Tube Settler   

Pumps Valves, Custom Pipeline Work

 

Water requirement  will be 200 M3/day.

It will be sourced  from Narmada River.

 

DM Plant : 13 m3/Hr

 

WATER BALANCE DETAIL:

Effluent  Treatment Plant:

 

Capacity : 15 M3/Hr

 

ETP will be comprising of :

1.    Collection Cum Neutralization Tank :

(10.5 X 7.8 X10.5)

2.    Primary Settling Tank :

(13.5 X 4.5 X 3.6)

3.    Sludge Drying Bed :

(13.5 X 9 X 7)

4.    Intermediate Holding Tank :

(13.5 X 9 X 7)

5.    Pressure Sand Filter :

(400mm Dia)

6.    Pressure Carbon Filter :

(400mm Dia)

7.    Lime Stone Filter

8.    Treated Waste water Collection Tank

    (9.6 X 10.5 X 6)

 

Closed loop system will be adopted so that no effluent is discharged from the proposed plant.

Only make up water will be fed into the plant. Acidic and alkaline effluent from cation and anion units of DM Plant will be neutralized in neutralization tank. 

 

Boiler blow down will be neutralized in the neutralization tank before mixing with other effluent streams. 

 

 After neutralization, these two effluents will be mixed with cooling tower blow down in a guard pond.

 

The treated effluent will be used for ash conditioning, dust suppression and green belt development. Service water will be passed through oil separator to remove oil content in the effluent. 

 

 Domestic effluent will be treated in septic tank followed by soak pit. 

 

No effluent will be discharged outside the premises and Zero discharge will be adopted. 

 Rain water harvesting structure will be constructed..
