Global Medikit Ltd. (Unit II) plans to set up a PVC Tubes manufacturing Unit having capacity of 1.50 Lacs Nos./Day and Needles manufacturing Unit having capacity of 1.50 Lacs Nos./Day in Selaqui, Dehradun, Uttaranchal.
Capacity:
1. PVC Tubes : 1.50 Lacs Nos./Day
2. Needles : 1.50 Lacs Nos./Day

Central Hope Town, Selaqui

As on December 12, 2012: The Project is in planning stage.
The land has been bought by the company with the building constructed on it. There will be no change in land use neither is any additional construction required.
A green belt is being developed at the unit.The Unit is established in Selaqui, Industrial area declared by Govt. of Uttarakhand premises.
IMPORTANT: As per the discussion we had on 7.12.2012 with Global Medikit Ltd. the project is under planning stage.
The company is wating for Environmental clearances.
The project work is likely to start within One/Two Months.

Water requirement will be 5 m3/day
and it will extracted as groundwater.
This water will be used in domestic (3.5 KLD) as well as
industrial process (1.5 KLD).

Effluent Treatment System and Scheme
The basic scheme will consist of collecting the effluent from the manufacturing section and treating it by aerobic biological process followed by settling in a settler to separate sludge from the clarifier effluent.
Sludge will be sent from the sludge drying bed for further disposal as per guidelines of the State Board. Clarified water will be subjected to fileration on multi-grade filtration units consisting of PSF and ACF.
A total of 5KLD of water use is envisaged for various activities at the facility. For the staff and workforce in the facility, 3.5 KLD of water is proposed for domestic consumption. As there is no sewer line in the area, hence a septic tank will be used as the final discharge point of the domestic waste water.
A maximum of 1.5KLD of water may be consumed in industrial activity. The water will be used for floor washing (in the form of mopping) per day and for cooling and product cleaning purposes as part of various manufacturing processes leading to waste water generation of approximately 50 litre per day. Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is proposed to treat the industrial waste water generated from above said activity. Since the volume of effluent is small, to make a systematic effluent treatment plant economically viable, a system to handle the waste water is recommended.
