 Brahmaputra Biochem Plans to Set Up

  60 KLPD  Distillery with 2 MW CPP

Brahmaputra Biochem Private Limited  plans to

set up  60,000 Litre/Day  Grain Based Distillery along with

2MW Captive Power Plant in Kamrup District, Assam. 

 

It will manufacture ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol) / RS (Rectified Spirit).

 

Capacity :

Distillery                   : 60,000 Litre/Day  

Captive Power Plant : 2MW

Bottling plant         :Installation of bottling plant

                                                                for 6000 Cases/Day for 

                                                                Country Liquor.

 

Distillery will be operated for 330 days per annum.

 

Location: Choygaon Industrial Growth Centre

               Village 2 No. Jambari,Tehsil Choygaon                    Kamrup District, Assam

The the civil work has commenced.

 

The unit would come up on about 10 Acres of Land .

 

 Greenbelt will be developed in 33 % (3.3)Acres) of the area.

 

IMPORTANT: 

1. Our Report on 11.08.2011:

As per the discussion we had on 08.08.2011 with Brahmaputra Biochem Private Limited, the Project still  is  under Panning Stage.

 

The project has received first level of Environment Clerance from Ministry Of Environment & Forest (MoEF).

The project is also awaiting  clerance from Sate Pollution Control Board.

 

The project work is expected to start from

October, 2011.

 

The Project   is Scheduled to be  Completed

 by August, 2012 .

The project is delayed by about 4-5 Months.

The Main Scope of Supply includes:

Boiler        : 25 TPH

Fuel             : Rice Husk/ Coal

                                       Rice Husk : 157 MTPD or

                                       Coal          : 100 MTPD

Stack Height  : 43 M

 

Heat Exchanger, Air Pre- Heater/ Economiser

 

Raw Material :

Broken  Rice      :  161 MTPD

Sulphuric acid   :  30 Kg/Day

Antifoam            : 30 Kg/KL

Yeast and Biocides, Alpha amylase and Glucomylase will also be used as raw materials.

Cooled Condenser  :

Use of Air Cooled Condenser to be used to reduce water consumption.

 

All the Conveyors will be covered with GI sheets to prevent the fugitive dust emission into the atmosphere.

 

Air Pollution Control Equipment :

Multi Cyclone &  Bag Filter

To control the particulate emissions  from the Rice Husk /Coal  Fired Boiler

(25 TPH) will be controlled by Multi-cyclone followed by bag filter alongwith stack height (43 m) will be provided (within 100 mg/m3 ).

 

Steam generated from the boiler will be utilized in the generation of

2MW Power and wil also be used for Boiler feed water heating and Distillery.

 

Flue gases after super heating the steam will pass through Economizer where they will  Pre-Heat the boiler Feed water before it enters the boiler drum. After Economizer, flue will pass through Air Pre-Heaters where they will heat the air which will be  fed to the boiler furnace for burning the fuel.

 

After Air Pre Heaters flue gases will pass through Multi Cyclone &  Bag Filter where the Dust Particles will be  collected on charged electrodes. After passing through Multi Cyclone &  Bag Filter, clean flue gases with dust particle concentration also known as SPM level less than 100 mg/Nm3 through a Chimney of prescribed height.

 

High pressure superheated steam from boiler will pass through a Steam Turbine and at the lower pressure will go to the condenser.

The part of the steam will be extracted from the extraction points provided on the turbine, which will be used for distillery.

 

The condensed steam will return to the steam boiler as condensate and will again be boiled as steam.

 

While passing through the turbine, the high pressure and temperature steam will rotate the turbine rotor and an Electric Alternator mounted on the same shaft.

 

Electric power will be generated by the alternator. This electric power generated will be consumed in house i.e. for running the distillery and utilities like boilers auxiliaries etc.

 

DG set : Total power requirement will be 1995 KW which will be met

                         from Captive Power Plant (2.0 MW).

 DG sets    :  1000 KVA -  2 Nos

                      (ie. 2X 1000KVA)

                      will be  installed for emergency power                       

                       Back-up during power failure:

                       Fuel : HSD

Pollution Control by Adequate stack height/ Acoustic Enclosure

Water Treatment Plant :

(Oxidisation Chamber, , IRF, Activated Carbon Filter, DM Plant,

 R.O. Plant etc.)

The fresh water requirement of this  project is estimated as 761 m3/day.

But while obtaining first level of Environment Clerance from Ministry Of Environment & Forest the Committee restricted to 600 m3/day

to achieve 10 Kl/Kl.

 

Effluent Treatment Plant

Spent wash (555 MT) will be taken to Centrifuge Decanter, where the suspended solids will be removed as wet coke.

Thin slop (180 MT) will be recycled.

 Balance (271 MT) thin slop will be evaporated to 28-30% w/w syrup. Thick syrup (36MT) will be mixed with wet cake and dried as DDGS and sold as cattle feed

 

DM Plant rejects and Cooling Tower discharge will be treated and reused. Sewage will be treated in septic tank and disposed through soak pit.

 

 Other Equipments:

 DG Set, Air Compressor. DC/VFD Drive, Gear Box, Insulation, Valves, Pipes & Tubes, Cables, Automatic Weighing Machines for Bulk & Liquid Materials. Straight Line Steam Tunnel, Pneumatic Piston Filler, Pressure Filler,Storage Tank, Cooling Tower/ Plant, Air Conditioning Plant, Complete Laboratory Equipments  etc

 

Fire Fighting System shall be as per the TAC Norms and cover all areas where  alcohol is produced, handled and stored.

 

Provision of Foam System for Fire Fighting to control fire from the alcohol storage tank.

 

Green Belt Development plan in 33 % area 

(Approx. 3.3 Acres) and a scheme for Rainwater Harvesting have to be put in place.
