1.    The Improved Hard Process has major environmental and sustainability advantages, uses lower grade ores, and produces a higher quality phosphoric acid that through allows more efficient utilization in crops and allows for less surface and ground water contamination at the point of use.

2.    Being fully aware of the importance of the new technology to fertilizer sustainability and environmental stewardship, JDC, Inc. has expanded its research institute to be able to complete the commercialization of this breakthrough technology.

3.    The Improved Hard Process technology operates (at much higher throughput, yield, and efficiency) within the temperature, composition, and operating envelope of the earlier pilot plant, and therefore is all ready proven technology.

But what is the improved process.  Describe in brief.

sir,
the following is the summary of the IHP;
1. the improved hard process uses phosphate bearing material,petroleum coke, silica and other components as its raw materials.
2.these materials are dried and then ground and formed in to agglomerates which is used as the feed. for this purpose they use drying equipment,ball mill grinding equipment, balling drums.
3.the feed is then fed to a rotary kiln where they are heated to the reaction temp. i.e. above 1000 degree C.
4. after the reaction temp. is reached a reduction reaction occurs which releases phosphorous gas.this gas then auto ignites in the presence of air contained in the kiln. The combustion product is a phosphorous rich gas stream .this gas when put in a hydrator can produce high purity phosphoric acid.
5. this process produces 68% to 70% phosphoric acid.
6. the feed agglomerates that remains which lacks phosphorous after reaction are used for construction purposes.
7. . IHP does not create phosphogypsum which is the usual by product in the normal phosphoric acid producing process. Instead it creates a co-product that can be marketed as lightweight aggregate.
