Here is information about how an annular kiln works

1.As it is not sensitive to fine material ..there's no need to wash the raw materials before feeding it. Hence, no wastage of water for washing the feed.

2.At the end of the cooling zone the quick lime is discharged from the discharge table by a hydraulically operated pushing ram system and falls into a hopper under the kiln shaft.

Where a vibrating trough  emties the hopper.
