Position:              Checkpoint Security Engineer

Location:              NY/NJ and Milwaukee ( some remote)

Length:                 3-5 months w/option for additional time

Start Date:          ASAP

Rate:                     $DOE/h – all inclusive

 

Project Overview:

A Senior Security / Network will be a proven expert & have proficiency in designing, engineering, configuring and maintaining large enterprise firewalls. Preferred candidates will be able to emphasize experience with Load Balancing and Check Point Firewalls.- Financial Services Exp is preferred
 

Required Skills:

1.       Must have 3-5+ years of Firewalls – Checkpoint/Cisco ASA or Juniper SRX IDS/IPS, FW, DLP, and Encryption operations administration, configuration, troubleshooting including:

·         Validate firewall rule changes are appropriate and push when appropriate

·         Design firewall security policies

·         Monitor overall production stability of firewall infrastructure

·         Troubleshoot and resolve all firewall related issues

·         Analyze, design and implement firewall rule changes to meet business needs

·         Recommend and develop Firewall related infrastructure requirements

·         hands-on” OS level abilities on SPLAT

2.       Must have fundamental understanding of DNS theory and hands on experience with supporting mid to large networks

·         Hands on experience in Risk Assessment processes

·         Ability to work with and follow established process and procedures and providing IT production support

3.       Check Point Certified CCSA or CCSE is a huge plus

4.       Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.

5.       Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator

6.       Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
