@ - Abbreviation for AIESEC, commonly used in front of a committee's name
@XP:AIESEC Experience - the member development process, incorporating stages for leadership roles and international exchange, which all members should follow. Different stages include I2A, TR, LR, Exchange and H4TF (see entries below). myAIESEC.net tracks the current status of members.
AI: AIESEC International - AIESEC's full-time global secretariat, who co-ordinate activities from Rotterdam, Netherlands.
AIESEC: The world's largest student organsiation. Orginally stood for Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales, now has no official full form.
CEED: Cultural Envoy for Exchange Development - a programme where AIESECers work for a foreign committee in order to spread best-case practice around the network.
DT:Development Traineeship - traineeship either in a developing country or among a disadvantaged group. Compensation may be partly in-kind.
EB:Executive Board - the group of members (president and vice presidents) who lead an LC or MC. Used on its own, this generally refers to an LC's EB.
EP: Exchange Participant - a member taking part in our exchange programme by working abroad.
ER: External Relations - relations with entities outside of AIESEC
ET:Educational Traineeship - traineeship involving teaching a subject either in a school, organisation, or company. These traineeships are paid.
H4TF:Heading for the Future - the stage of the AIESEC Experience after the member has formally left the organisation, but can continue to put their skills and understanding into practice as alumni.
I2A:Introduction to AIESEC - the first stage of the AIESEC Experience, where members are inducted into the organisation.
ICX:Incoming Exchange - the process of finding companies in your country who will take a foreign trainee.
LC: Local Committee - the basic entity of which AIESEC is made. An LC is an organisation of AIESEC members at a university (or group of nearby institutions), lead by an EB.
LCP:Local Committee President - Leader and figurehead of an LC. Directly responsible for leading, managing & coaching the LCEB, direction setting.
LR: Leadership Role - a key stage of the AIESEC Experience where the member becomes leader of a team. Sometimes defined as leading 3 or more people towards a task for 2 or more months.
MC:Member Committee - the full-time team who co-ordinate AIESEC's activities within your country.
MCP:Member Committee President
MT:Management Traineeship - traineeship involving management and or administration working for a company. These traineeships are paid
OC:Organising Committee - the team which organises a conference, project or other AIESEC event
OCP: Organising Committee President
OGX:Outgoing Exchange - the process of sending students and graduates from your country to work abroad on traineeships.
PAI:President of AIESEC International
TM:Talent Management - Responsible for Human Resource planning, tracking through the @XP, education & development, performance assessment etc. at the LC, MC and AI level, eg LC/MC/AIVPTM.
TN:Traineeship Nominee(taker) - an organisation which takes on AIESEC trainees.
TR:Taking Responsibility - the second stage of the AIESEC experience, where members take on roles within their committee.
VP: Vice President - a member of the executive board of the Member Comittee, AIESEC International, or Local Committee in a functional role. E.g.: VPOGX - Vice President of Outgoing Exchange at Local Commitee, MCVPOGX - VPOGX at National Level, AIVPX - Exchange in charge at international level
