As you already know, household air pollution significantly impacts the health of mothers and young children.
With support from the MDG Health Alliance, Johnson and Johnson and FHI 360, The Newborn Survival Map initiative is seeking information on projects in sectors whose work greatly impacts newborn survival, including projects related to clean cooking and reducing household air pollution. The map will initially focus on 16 countries* where newborn deaths are concentrated, and with a total investment of $500,000 or more over the life of the project.
Please make sure clean cookstove and household air pollution projects are represented by going to the online questionnaire to register your project at this link: https://form.newbornsurvivalmap.org/#/project/new
The questionnaire takes 20 minutes to fill out, and will ensure that your vital work is on the map. A guide to the process is also attached to answer any questions.
The Newborn Survival Map is in collaboration with the Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP), which seeks to end preventable newborn deaths by 2030, and in support of the UN Secretary-General’s Every Woman Every Child movement.
