Hi Nomada and all, I just went to our doodle (it's another cool stuff, eh..hehe..) but there's no proposed-time for december yet? I thought anyone can create their availability there but i guess it's supposed to be arranged by you as the moderator..then we need to wait till you update the calendar, yes?

Either way, my availability time for meeting would be generally on:

1. Sat & Sun: 2pm - 4pm (China-Beijing time which is 1h earlier than Indonesia time/WIB)

2. Working days; Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri: 10pm-11pm

Looking forward to hear from you Nomada, thanks in advance for your arrangement.. :)

Warm regards
Caritas,

Hi Pete! It's fortunate to see your concern with BI chapter for TZM--
particularly in this translations project. As you'll probably see,
i've introduced myself previously in the group. Will be glad to have
more contact with you and others from the group on facebook/skype (i'd
still need to open the skype though). Please feel free to add me on
facebook under "INDAnesia" keyword. Or, may you share your facebook's
    here?

I've never been in Makasar, but i heard it's a pretty hot area with
beautiful beaches. From what i know, Indonesia has pretty big problem
with forestry management by the government, one of the results is what
had happened in Wasior last October--flash floods, eventhough the govt
denied that theory as the main cause of the floods. It's would be
helpful to hear more about what's really happening in the forestry
dept i guess.. "the forestry dept", do you mean 'indonesian govt',
    Pete?

Nomada, you're right..the first move is very important..so i guess
it's now 4 people already for Bahasa Indonesia (Pete, Rizky, Anyu, and
    me), yes?

Talk to you guys, again.. :)

    Warm regards from China,
    Caritas.

    Hi : )
It is a great pleasure to see your group approaching each other on this group mail! I am not a member of all the new google groups that we have created, but between the ones I am, this is the group that is moving faster into getting to know each others. I guess you are ready to put hands to work and have some "physical" (audible at least : ) meetings.

I suggest that we set a day and time where we can all meet and I will make a tour guide through the "house". Then, according to all the information and availability of each one, we can choose tasks and assign someone, or several, to coordinate and receive the new indonesian members. Sounds good? Reply to this mail if you don't agree with something or if you have any question, or just follow these links to join the meeting.

To set up an internet meeting on a day and
time that suits everyone, we often use a doodle. It is very simple to use. Just click on the link, select your time-zone and select/put as green your availabilities. The next day/time with the biggest number of presences will be the chosen one for the meeting. I have selected the times for the doodle accordingly to what I suspect it is the after work indonesian time; and I have put me as available every time, since I don't have a fix job and never know if they will call me on the day of the meeting. But if so, I'll do my best to warn you : ) Here is our doodle:

Also install teamspeak, the VOIP software where there is a Zeitgeist Movement server, where everyone meets, from almost all corners of the World. Here is a tutorial video and a webpage link, any of them useful to set you up : )

    or in text http://www.thezeitgeistmovement.com/wiki/index.php?title=Teamspeak

There is no channel on TeamSpeak for indonesian language or chapter, so I suggest that we meet on the Linguistic Team channel or a channel bellow that one created by me at that time. You will understand it as soon you are on TS. My nickname there is nomada, in case any of you want to join any day before our meeting. Some important events on TS until then is, for example, the Global Linguistics Team meeting, every Saturday at 19h GMT (-7h than at Indonesia)

One thing that you could advance until the meeting day is your register and set up process on Pootle, our translations assistance online software. If for some reason you cant do it until the meeting day, I can help you on that then. Here is a link to a online slide show, used by the arabic team, that explains the whole process and has also a link to an example of the Arabic Linguistic Team strategy on how to approach the translations on Pootle; in case you want to follow the same strategy.

Hi Caritas!! : )
yes, too bad that doodle didn't work out much. I was wondering how could it be that the Indonesian Linguistic Team e-mail group was so dynamic and suddenly no one answered to the meeting proposal with the doodle. But it is ok, we can always start a new one. : )

The most important thing would be that this team continue to exchange contacts and set up the meetings yourselves, get together, discuss a plan of action, choose a coordinator, etc. So, I suggest that you, or anyone in the group, take the initiative and suggest something. Then, if I can be present on the meeting, it will be my pleasure to help, of course : )

Here is the doodle page. You just have to "Schedule an event" and in the end send the "participation link" to this group mail with all other info you may thing is needed.

(use the feature: "enable time zone support" in case people are in different countries with different time schedules)

Here are 2 links for tutorials that will help you all introduce/register in some tools of the Linguistic team : )
