BLACKSMITH INSTITUTE is a not-for-profit organization that is based in New York, the United States of America, with its focus to mitigate the human health and environment from the impacts of industrial and mining activities. We are currently looking for a Programme Assistant.

Responsibilities

1. To provide assistance to the Indonesia Country Coordinator in conducting site assessments, preparation/implementation/monitoring/reporting of field works, and building/maintaining multi-stakeholder partnership;

2. To provide budget estimate and prepare expense report;

3. To provide management and technical support to the field partners.

Requirements

1. Posses a strong passion toward public health and environment issues;

2. Bachelor degree in sciences, environmental health or engineering;

3. Good communication skills, both in English (oral and written) and bahasa Indonesia;

4. Preferably familiar with environmental regulations, policy and multi-stakeholders works, and site assessments;

5. Competent in using office programs and internet. Proficiency in mapping software is a plus;

6. Self-motivated, driven and resourceful team player;

7. Willing to travel.
