Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness”.

This is an opportunity for all of you to be part of group study to understand deeper meaning of of the scriptures.

When: Friday, February 14th @ 7.45 PM
Where: CBC, 15815 SE 37th St, Bellevue

Note: We recently started kids ministry and we request to bring kids with Bible, most importantly if possible leave all their electronic(games) devices at home.

Week 22(2/14/2014)Memory verses:
  • Your 2014 promise  ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
  • 1 Thes 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
  • 1 Thes 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
  • New: 2 Tim 3:15-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Read 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28 - Basic Christian Living (Page 51 & 52)
Question (Page 54, Question 3): Paul instruction to Thessalonians is "pray without ceasing" (v.17), implying pray continually. What other observations have you made from other references: Colossians 4:2; Romans 12:12; Ephesians 6:18; Luke 18:1.

Question (Page 54, Question 4): What does it mean to “test all things”(v.21)?

Question (Page 54, Question 5): What is the connection between the individual believer’s part in personal sanctification(v.13-22) and God’s role(v.23-24)?
