Week 17 (11/22/2013)

1 Thessalonians 4:1-12 - Sanctified Living

Application: We have learned in great deal in 1 Thessalonian 4 about sexual purity and lifestyle; Gal 5:16 says, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh." The key to walking in the Spirit is being with the Spirit, and key to being filled with the Spirit is for believers to let God's Word dwell within them. They must sincerely read, study and apply scriptures that their allows them to yield complete control to Holy Spirit. What steps can you take to depend more on the Holy Spirit? List three things you can to abound in love toward other believers.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 - The Return of Christ (Read Page 41-44 thoroughly)

Question (Page 45, Question 1): Looking back over the biblical text(4:13-18) and the explanatory notes, summarize the sequence of events of the rapture. How will this event unfold?

Question (Page 45, Question 2): Paul wrote to inform and to comfort, what reassuring or encouraging truths do you see in 4:13-18?

Question (Page 45, Question 3): What did Paul mean when he called them "sons of light"?
