Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We have been meditating how Paul comforted Thessalonians in midst of persecution and afflictions, reminding events leading to Jesus second coming and events after Jesus' coming.

It is a great reminder for all of us as well. You'll be blessed knowing depth of Paul's comforting words for them.

Please pray and join.

When: Friday, April 4th @ 7.45 PM
Where: CBC, 15815 SE 37th St, Bellevue

Note: We recently started kids ministry and we request to bring kids with Bible, most importantly leave all their electronic(games) devices at home.

2 Thessalonians - Week 3(3/28/14)

Memory verses:
  • Your 2014 promise
  • Memorize names of all Bible books
Read 2 Thessalonians 1 & study book page 66
  • In 2 Thessalonians 1, count the numerous references Paul makes to God and to Jesus. Then take a closer look at the ways he describes the first two members of the Godhead(for example, “God our Father”, v.1). What is significant about these titles? How would they have brought comfort to the oppressed Thessalonians?
  • The Thessalonians demonstrated that their salvation was genuine because they, like Christ, were willing to suffer on account of God and His kingdom. Have you ever suffered because of your allegiance to Christ? If so, how were you able to stand strong?
  • Summarize the mind-set of Thessalonians. Look at how they are described. How does your spiritual life stack up next to their example?

Study format: In spirit of encouraging participation and interaction, we will set time to discuss in small groups first 30mins. This helps every one to study together before we discuss as a whole group.
