Stephen visiting last week of April / first week of May

Hey all,

I left RSA in October of 2017 and have not been back since. That changes this April when I will be visiting for two weeks. If you'd like to meet up, please let me know. If y'all are still meeting at Fratellis every first Wednesday of the month, then that might actually be on the cards too, since it is the one thing I missed most about not being in RSA these last 8.5 years.

That is great news. Hope you can make it to Hermanus. The Stimulus group (similar to Fratellis) meets every wednesday at the Bossa restaurant in Hermanus.

I will post your message on the various groups. For reliable communications with me (and others) I strongly recommend Telegram. The 2 googlegroups are not used anymore.

As with Trevor, we are in Knysna, Western Cape. Let me know if your short time in SA would include a bit of travel.

 

You wrote an excellent piece of you life, livelihood, trials and joys around 2022. Of course this was punctuated by the Covid-19 delay. Even if we cannot see you, your perspective (perhaps after your visit to SA) would be most welcome.

Hi Ron,

Yes, I might be doing some travelling. My parents are keen to visit Kruger and I'd like to see my sister in Cape Town, but I wouldn't mind us all sipping some pina coladas in Margate or something. In fact, I haven't seen the ocean (Indian or otherwise) in many years, so maybe getting together in George, Knysna or Plet could be on the cards. I'm just in the middle of a big go-live, then I'll pin down the accommodation and car rental.

For sure, I will write something afterwards. I already have many thoughts and should probably start jotting some of them down. I might even share some of them, if I can figure out how to plug the big keyboard into the tiny-screen Telegram app. :-D

P.S. I'm travelling on my Canadian passport, so if I get locked up I might need one of you to send a lawyer and come bail me out... but like that prince in Shrek said, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. ;-)
