Officers with the Northwest Territories department of natural resources
say the remains of at least 50 caribou have been uncovered.
It’s believed they were left behind after a recent hunt.
The remains included meat suitable for food, including legs above the
knee, rumps and ribs.
The caribou were found near the small community of Gameti, a popular
hunting spot.
The officers are asking for the public’s help in finding the hunters
who may face fines.
