There's this article in Smashing Magazine about PNG optimization.
http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2009/07/15/clever-png-optimization-techniques/
File size is fast becoming a problem with me... each panel is starting to get around 400-500kbs and it limits the number of panels I can show in a single page (for archives/tag pages etc). And although my hosting plan has
unlimited bandwidth, this usually means it's unlimited till the hosting company realizes you're taking out too much and they start charging (or kick you out).
The article mentions two tools which supposedly compresses png files further... unfortunately they dont seem to compress them any further if photoshop exports them (using the save for web feature). Anyone know of any other method of further compressing pngs? A few of my panels are .gifs because they're sometimes (quite) smaller than png. Some are (gasp!) jpgs.
