Dear Saroj ji,

Thanks for the photo of a wild specimen.

I too have Lagerstroemia parviflora plants in my lawn but in the Kashmir valley they are planted as decorative plants.

However they thrive here just like native plants.

Sorry but on second thoughts what I have in my lawn is L.Indica.

L.parviflora is too big to have on a lawn.
