Hi Garg ji,

This ID needs reconsideration ... most of my observations of Boehmeria must be

Boehmeria virgata var. macrostachya (Wight) Friis & Wilmot-Dear

rather than Boehmeria virgata subsp. macrophylla (Hornem.) Friis & Wilmot-Dear

I am following this page - Synonymic Checklist and Distribution of the World Flora for distribution of plants ...please search for "Boehmeria virgata" and then you may check for each variety's distribution.

In POWO Boehmeria virgata var. macrophylla the distribution is given as a large part of  the African subcontinent and var. macrostachya is recorded for India.
