... many thanks to Ingalhalikar ji for the ID.

But now, the layman has three close candidates to think of:
1) Impatiens minor
2) Impatiens inconspicua
3) Impatiens kleiniformis

Somehow need to get easy visual differences between them.

Regards.

Hello Dinesh Ji and Ingalhikar Ji

i refered Further flowers of Sahyadri and Flora of Maharashtra by
Almeida, and also Cooke Flora

i could prepare a key for these 3 species

i hope this key would be of some help

1. Spur absent or shorter than
flower ..........................I.inconspicua
1. Spur as long as or longer than flower.....................2
2. Pedicel with one line of pubescence.....................I.
kleiniformis
2. Pedicel with two opposite line of pubescence......I. minor

i didnt got much reference for I. kleiniformis.

hence refering Furhter flower of Sahayadri pg 436 this species turns
out to I. inconspicua, as the spur is absent in this case.

I think this flower should be Impatiens minor (Syn: I. kleinii)
An identifying feature of this plant is that the leaves have two large
glands on the margins near the base of the leaf. In the two pictures
by Swagat, the leaves show two glands at the base.

Prashant's flower should also be Impatiens minor.
Best wishes
